Too good from Novak...nice lob there.
So what rank will Nishikori jump to with this win?
Man, Rosewall handing the trophy, what an honour.
Milos got bagelled? Was he injured?
Milos got bagelled? Was he injured?
No, Milos just isn't that good.
The Japanese seem to be doing very well in front of their home crowd, with Kei winning Tokyo and Kobayashi coming 4th at Suzuka.
Will be nice to see Nishikori hopefully replace one of the two pretenders currently ranked 9 and 10.
Nope, just got outplayed. But he kind of went away in the 3rd set.
Very pleased for Kei and it's extra sweet that he did it in front of his home crowd. This is great news for Japanese tennis too.
Milos probably treated yesterday's match like a final, physically and emotionally, so a slump today isn't surprising. Not that it takes anything away from Kei's win, which was thoroughly deserved. He's played great all week.
Karlovic got bageled a couple of times. Makes sense that Raonic should get a few too.
The Raonić bubble is about to burst.
Nah man he is just like Nadal. Some days he just isn't good enough, you know, like when Fed absolutely demolished Nadal and sent him away with his tail between his legs at the 02. Sucks when Nadal can't play on sandpaper doesn't it? IIRC actually the worst beat downs have all come from Fed in the past 3-4 years, isn't that right? Must suck knowing that your guy just isn't that good.
Then you can come back with your classic 8-2 finals record or whatever else crap you are going to post...go ahead; because it isn't just Fed. Djokovic then continued the onslaught in 2011 and won what, 7 straight finals? That sucks dude for you. Why won't you face the facts? Really though why won't you?
Congrats to Kei. I didn't get to watch the match but I am happy for Japan just like I am happy for my country in having a good player and person in Raonic representing us.
High quality tennis from Kei. He's an impressive shot maker. Good showing from Milos, despite getting bageled in the 3rd set. It's just matter time before both guys get into the top 10.
I'll take Nadal's 21 masters titles and 11 slams, even if he does throw a stinker in every once in a while. And if I were you,I wouldn't trumpet Fed's beatdowns of Nadal over the years when there are many more of those beatdowns coming from the other side of the net more often than not.
When was the last time Federer received a beatdown from Nadal. AFAIK it happened twice. Not very often.
