Winner of Tsitsi-Zverev SF should win it all imo.

I do want to see Hurkacz do a sunshine double though just for the absurdity. And if the Tsits-Zed match is a long and tiring one, Hurk might be able to clean up the scraps.

What were you hoping to see match up wise?
Federer defeat Djokovic in 3 close tiebreaks.

Haha no, but I just assumed Djokovic would be there, but then he withdrew. Then I got a sliver of hope, seeing Andy Murray do well, before his ultimate demise. I wondered if it was time for Rublev to break through, but shocker there too. I thought maybe Karatsev, Shapovalov, Berrettini, Sinner, Khachanov, or Felix might step up, but all are out.

I assume Tsisipas and Zverev will play for a spot in the finals, and the top half is sort of a toss up. I like it, but it's just not how I assumed things would play out. But you know what they say about assumptions...

Yeah, I know....

He is so close to being utterly dominant. If he could just sort that 2nd serve and trust the FH he will be virtually unbeatable on any surface.
I am one of the biggest supporter of Zverev but I will have to be honest. He lost to Tsitsipas in RG when he had no business losing. He lost to freaking FAA in downright disgusting performance. And he again failed vs Novak, one of his better losses but still loss. So in 3 slams he didn't even make a final and that means he is not dominant at all. Consistent for sure.

I agree which is why if he solves the two areas i mention i think he turns tjose losses into wins. The FaA loss was terrible

Zverev didn't have any more business losing to old Mediocrevic than to Shankpas. Choked up both matches really.

The promising thing is the last few months he has been consistent and losing to Djokovic in 5 isn’t bad at all. The main thing for Zverev was that not only did he put up a fight against Djokovic but that he made it there.
Since Wimbledon he looks better which is promising. As you mentioned with RG and W he was losing matches he shouldn’t but with the USO he beat who he was expected too and losing to Djokovic taking it too 5 was promising for the future

My heart says Dimitrov or Cam Norrie but my head says Zverev. Tsitsipas has not looked entirely convincing to me.
