So Alcaraz could overtake Zverev already during this Monte Carlo tournament if he were to win it.
And Zverev would always have the promissory note of the 1000 points from Rome to defend.
So the odds seem very high despite the level of play expressed by the Spaniard still not fully convincing (see first set and a half against Cerundolo).

For the entire tennis ecosystem it would be of fundamental importance for Alcaraz to overtake Zverev, it would mean that a possible Sinneraz at Roland Garros could only happen in the final, and people want to see Sinneraz in a slam during the supreme act.
Overall, it would be the first time that Sinner and Alcaraz would lead the seeding in a slam.

That said, be careful not to underestimate Jack Draper, a guy who could upset the cards on the table and ruin the party.
