Poly/poly hybrid suggestions for control

I had both of my 2019 VCore Pro 97 310 strung up with a Velocity/Ghost Wire hybrid and while I loved it fresh and in the cold, after just a week and a half and about 5-6 hours on each frame, balls are already starting to fly on me more than I'd like when the temp is above 50. It's not uncontrollable or anything but for my aggressive baseline game I can't swing at the speed I want to with confidence. It still plays good in the cold, but it looks like the cold will be gone soon. Because of this, I want to switch to full poly, but keep it on the softer side. I'm not worried about my arm as I demoed this frame and many others with full poly and no issues, but I don't want a stiff-feeling stringbed.

Current setup: Velocity 1.30 55 lbs / Ghost Wire 1.22 51 lbs
Racquet: 2019 VCore Pro 97 310, lead and overgrip to 332g, 7 pts HL, 325 SW (strung specs).

Looking for (in order of most to least important):
Control
Tension Maintenance
Spin
Comfort

Will likely put Ghost Wire 1.17 in the crosses no matter what. Mostly looking for a control-oriented but not dead main with pretty good but not crazy spin that's not more than average stiffness. Also don't want to spend much more than 10 bucks a set, although a little more is fine.

Been considering Mayami Tour Hex, Tier One Black Knight, Volkl Cyclone, Head Lynx Tour. Open to any and all suggestions.

I’ve been rockin’ a Tier One Black Knight, Kirschbaum Max Power duo which I’ve settled into as My poly/poly hybrid. Typically tension maintenance is my priority (hence the Max Power), followed by control/spin.

Since comfort is of least importance, my hitting partner has been using Head Lynx Tour and really likes it. I think of the strings you mentioned it has the best tension stability. I think if you want something that doesn’t play dead, either it or Tour Hex would be good? I’m not great with poly descriptors for feel, though. I do tend to prefer what I’m told are on the “deader” side.

Thanks! I don’t see Max Power being for me in this particular scenario but Tourna BHS7T is another stiff string that I could possibly like if comfort proves to be a non-issue.

However, I want to point out that even though I listed comfort last, it’s still one of my priorities. Just the lowest-ranking of them. Also, dead-feeling is alright, but I don’t want a string that’s totally dead power-wise, just more on the controlled side. I agree that all these descriptors for strings can get confusing, especially when it’s all subjective and there’s so many variables.

Not a shaped mains string like the four you are already considering but I played with Hawk Touch 1.20 mains, Ghost Wire 1.17 crosses for quite a few months. Like you said, no crazy spin but for me one of the best round strings for spin. I have a sensitive shoulder and elbow and could play with that setup without any problem. I really enjoyed the performance too. Both strings maintain their performance characteristics for a long time. I'm back to full bed Hawk Touch 1.20 now though.

I don't know what the price on Hawk Touch is for you. I've heard Hawk Touch is more expensive in the US than in Europe, where I am.

Max Power for absolute control. HyperG/Lynx Tour (same string basically) for good control and more spin than Max Power.
I don't think Max Power is for me in this case, but I'll keep it in mind. I've heard that HyperG and Lynx Tour are similar from some people, but a lot also say they're very different. Why is this?

$15. Probably a bit outside my price range but I'll keep it in mind nonetheless.

I'm using max power crosses with rpm 1.35 mains. I prefer it to black Knight. It's only like 10% more expensive. And whilst it doesn't last as long as bk, it plays better from start

Solinco Hyper G is fantastic! I string my Pure Drive with VS (55) in the mains and Hyper G soft in the crosses (52) and it is butter. Only $12 a set, too...good tension maintenance , as well.
