I recently tried 4G Soft 1.25 and was pretty impressed. I continue to love how much controllable pop I get on serves and groundstrokes. Of course, we're all greedy. The only thing I'd like more of is a bit more spin. Not an issue on serves or BH it seems, Im guessing because of higher racket head speeds. Slice is perfect as it is. So it's mainly about hitting a heavier ball on FH (ie like hyper g does).
Do you folks have any experience with using 4GS in a poly/poly hybrid to achieve these goals? Im thinking of trying:
I guess I am going with an assumption that adding a shaped cross will add spin. Thought I read that here at some point.
Alternatively, I may just try dropping the tension first. Im doing 46/46 lbs on my APDO. Trying 44/44 or 44/42 is an option.

- 4G Soft 1.25 / Lynx Tour 1.25 (read that musetti uses 4GR/ LT)
- 4G Soft 1.25 / Hyper G 1.20 (since Im looking to add some attributes of HG, why not just use that -- ugly color combo might be one big drawkback).
- 4G Soft 1.25 / Tour Bite 1.20 (I like both strings, and it's pretty. But problem with very different tension maintenance?)
- 4G Soft 1.25 / Black Knight 1.23 (I like both strings, both long lasting)

4G Soft is... awesome??? + hybrid ideas please
I picked up some 4G Soft 1.25 because it was 50% off. I have not tried a luxilon string before.... lots of Solinco, Tier one etc. I had it strung in my Aero Pro Drive at 46 lbs. Sharing some impressions: I feel dumb for believing fake news on this forum :) My arm didn't fall off. It's quite...
