Poped a string again and need a new string setup

I just snapped my aero storm 2008 a few days ago
it was string with gosen micro 16 @ 60lbs snapped in 2 weeks.

im looking for a new string set up to use.

im thinking..
for mains:
Babolat Revenge 17
Babolat Pro hurricane tour 17
Babolat RPM blast 17
Luxilon Big Banger ALU Power (rough?) 16L

and crosses:
Gosen Micro 16
Prince synth gut 16
Wilson NXT16

mains at 60lbs crosses at 58lbs?

my mind is on Pro hurricane tour 17 with Gosen Micro 16
but which is more durable in a hybrid as a cross?

OG Micro would be perfectly fine for a cross string. If you wanna get a bit more durability, try out N.VY.

the cross string that lasted me the longest so far and provided very enjoyable touch, power and control is mantis power synthetic. it keeps going for 12 hitting hours - most of the other strings i tried as crosses gave up after 8, max 9 hours (isospeed professional - which is a truly superb string!).
for the mains my current choice is the mantis power polyester.
give this set-up a try.

I've been using revenge and i wouldn't really recommend it. It dies a bit too quick, but its got decent spin and power in the beginning.
off topic: Isnt that gosen string a really good string for feel? Or am i mistaking it for another? (someone referred a gosen string as a really good string for feel)

I used Hurricane Tour and Gosen Micro at 17 gauge at 58 lbs (I think) and it was darn good. All the power and control from the Hurricane, but nice on the arm, which full Luxilon (why I tried hybrid in the first place) was not. Good luck in your search.

Did you try the Mantis Power synthetic in 16 gauge, or 17 gauge?

Try Gosen Polylon mains with the Micro crosses. Same price and last a lot longer.

bad dog,
the power synthetic comes only in 17 gauge. the comfort synthetic is in 16 gauge but basically looks to be very close to the power synthetic - i have no means of measuring, but while stringing i did't really see nor feel a difference. the comfort synthetic is much softer than the power syn and provides superb touch and a tad less power, control and spin. both are very good strings to employ as crosses. the comfort syn lasted me around 8 hitting hours (which with my kind of play is really good) while the power syn took me to an incredible 12 hours!
