Alex Michelsen beat Martin Damm, Jr. in the QF of the Champaign Challenger today. Two fun facts about the players: 19 year-old Michelsen, who was scheduled to play college ball at Georgia this fall and made the Newport final this summer, is now at a career-high #96, the youngest player in the top 100. Damm, Jr., meanwhile, is the son of Martin Damm, who won the 2006 U.S. Open doubles title with Laender Paes.
Anyway, to the point: Damm hits a tweener lob, Michelsen responds with a tweener passing shot that Damm volleys back, and Michelsen responds with a lob, followed by Damm hitting a tweener lob winner. So, back-to-back tweeners and three total tweeners in the same point. I've never seen anything like that before.
