new dunlop bag for my maxply mcenroe racquets:
Which players is this bag? Are there two signatures?
This is a little embarrassing, but after 20 years of playing tennis I've sort of had it with conventional tennis bags. I've had all kinds and probably one of the better ones was Nike's version that sat up like a locker, that is, until one of the zippers didn't work and now its a paper weight. Anyway, what I've resorted to now is Trader Joe's insulated bag. I got mine for $15, new, but now it appears the price is up to $23 on Amazon (delivered). What I love the most about this bag is that you can see everything inside of it at a glance because of the way it opens from the top completely. I don't have to hunt for anything because its all perfectly visible. Additionally, because it is insulated it makes throwing water bottles in to it on a super hot and humid day great. They stay as cold as when I took them out of the fridge for hours.
Yes, this thing gets little to no style points, but I try to let my game talk for me (as much as it can nowadays ), rather than my accessories. Inside it can hold a couple of racquets while still closing zipper. The grips of course do hang out, but plenty of bags do that. However, I would prefer it if there were outer pockets to hold just the racquets, but oh well.
Me too. I often get comments that it is too big though. I tell them that it needs to be big to hold all my braces....
