Post Pictures of your Racquets and Tennis Gear

i have little to no interested really in the extremes or the instincts but the pro i know who had all these grouped them all together at a price i couldn't refuse. I'll probably let those ones go and get my overall money back or close to it.

really interested in the speed pros and the radical models though

going to take the graphene speed pro out for a spin. no shared holes, capped, and much narrower beam. really like the feel of this in my hands :) all of the speeds are matched spec wise

If you have the chance then give the IG Speed Pro a spin. It was a Europe only release with an 18mm straight beam with cap grommets and a increased static weight (flex 68 RDC). A real player's stick for MEN!

I have one, bought from France - hits a very heavy ball !

having them strung with Solinco Silver Rough right now and am working out with them today at 2:30 :) Excited about these. My guy said if I like them he can score me some more when he gets back from the French

also - is there a way to get grommets for those speed pros? With new ones, the 4 I have will look nearly new

perhaps Tennis Warehouse Europe has them in stock. You'd have to get them shipped to where you are, but I'm not sure you have an alternative. Anyways, check TWE and otherwise, Google is your friend ;)

Kal I would be interested to hear your thoughts on those speed pros if they are pro stocks. If you don't like them let me know, I would be interested to give them a whirl...

what are the radicals?

I just got 4 of these Kal and in desperate need of new cap grommets too, so let me know if you find any. They aren't in as good condition as yours but only paid $25 per frame. 3 Strung with Solinco revolution @ 57 lbs and 1 strung with Alpha Vengeance @ 54 lbs.

Surprised to learn they were a Europe only release, no wonder I could barely find any info on them! and all my mates who use speed frames are using speed MPs...

thanks for the specs i think stock you are about right. i havent had a chance to weight them yet and I may tweak the weight a bit but really like them how they came. I would say about 350g with a swingweight like 342 or 340 or something like that..

all of yours are the IG paintjob. I got 3 like that and 1 in the newer G PJ which is my favorite as it clearly is different from the US retail one

Kal is simply winning life.

That haul is just spectacular.

twas a good haul...

im racket rich haha

unfortunately money...not so much :) oh well

i have been really fortunate to get some great hauls like this. its nice because i can keep what i want, sell the others and get all my money back and maybe even enough to fund the next batch

oh nice Kal so it is the IG Speed Pro but with the Graphene Paint Job? Novak owuldnt be using that by chance would he? lol Thats a rare find, brother!

I want your friends.

Please keep the mini reviews of these beauties coming. I play with pro stock radicals (TGK 231s) that are just awesome; always curious how the other head pro stocks compare.

Not sure I think Nole uses a radical mold. It appears the same frame as the IG one just with different PJ. Did they make that euro version speed pro in the Graphene PJ?

Nope Novak uses a complete custom frame by Head which uses a Microgel Radical MP as its base. The string spacing is different though as is the frame thickness I believe. Anyways, long story short, there is no way to get Novak's racquet by purchasing any past stock racquet.
By the way, Novak uses a 18x20 string pattern.

Going to demo the radicals tomorrow. Was really surprised with how much I liked those speeds today. Part of me wants to just say stick with those and not look back

My pro stock Rads (and one Prestige) have this plush buttery goodness that I cannot really find in retail sticks of today (few exceptions, like the Tec 315). Curious of this kind of feeling is pretty constant throughout the pro stock lines, or if they're specific to certain models/paint jobs, etc. .. granted this is probably most often a frame by frame situation because it comes down to what the player(s) before you did to customize it.

Nice little cohort of weapons you have there Gr1ndelwald.

Which is your favourite Volkl and which is your racket of choice?

I love the C10 pro but its quite a hefty bat indeed. Need anohter 5kg per arm of pure muscle to use it properly haha

VSBabolat, could you perhaps confirm or refute what I said? I only commented on Novak's racquet off the top of my head and I really didn't want to go through the old threads till I find an exact description of what his racquet is ^^' You are much more knowledgeable in this regard than I am

I believe he did by attaching the pictures of what Novak is actually using. The same racket as in pictures without the LM ridges...

IG wasn't for me.. Something was weird about the feel, balance. I hit one for
10 minutes and knew it wasn't for me. I'd take a re-issue Microgel over it... On the other hand I really lined the IG Radical Pro. Nice soft stick, great pocketing, but a little sluggish.

Thanks for the reply. That's interesting to hear about the IG MP and also the IG Pro. I would go 16x19 but I'm a student so can't afford to keep breaking strings like I am on the speed hence the switch to my old rad. The MG re-issue rad mp would still play considerably flexier/softer than the IG rad mp right?

been testing the whole bunch I just received. going to be making the switch to the Euro Speed Pro pro stocks I got...

going to be unloading the whole rest of the bunch shortly. need to free up some funds i have spent too much on frames lately haha

About the same in the flex department. MG just might be a bit snappier, more responsive, from what I recall. It's been awhile, though. I just remember the IG Rad feeling 'weird,' not necessarily stiff or anything. And it was a weird that I just didn't care for.

WOW thats a big call Kal! If you find a magical string setup on those please don't hold back, I'm thinking high 40's with a powerful poly just to get some zing. Will you keep the stock grip on them or change those too? Add any weight?

Sweeeeeet what do you think of them???

I love them. Came from a Donnay P1 (all my sticks broke). The pure strike has nice pop but doesnt have as much plow or stability compared to the P1. That's nothing a little lead couldn't fix. Hard to tell from the pic but I've added 2 grams at 3&9

I think this racket is exactly what I've been wanting. Something more controlled than a pure drive or aero, but not as high of swing weight as a blade. Balance of power and control with more control than power. Sound about right?

How do you like it with lead and 3 and 9? Was hoping to try that soon, but I haven't had the chance. I see you have the 16/19 as well. I wish I would of waited for the that model.
