Post Pictures of your Racquets and Tennis Gear

What about them turned you away?
cosmetically they look great but I felt like its the first Auxetic frame that didnt feel like an improvement. Almost too muted at least for my taste. Couldnt feel the ball. Not a fan of the headshape either

I'm very fond of the Gravity Tour, but I do play better with the blade. I tried to like the MP, especially with it's low power and being spin friendly, but the feel is just awful.
Someone at HEAD needs to grab a Prince Textreme Tour 100 to see how the MP should feel. I think if they just upped the RA to 63-64 it would be a much better stick.
Or even if they just made the Pro lay up in a 16X19/16X20. I think that would way outsell the 18X20 version.

Racquets I picked up so far this summer… more to come

Ι'm actually more jealous about the Crank machine. It's in my plans for 2023-2024

Comet's are getting expensive now, but I think they are well worth it. This one is 8 years old and chugging along. If U get a Comet, notice how I put a thick rubber band under the tension head - when it locks in place, it is really loud. With the rubber band, it absorbs almost all of the noise and doesn't interfere with the tension or stringing. Unless you are going to travel with it, get the one on a stand vs table top version.

Wow. Did I count a 20 x 24 string pattern on that Jaguar? Didn't even know they made racquets, or was it a rebranded Pro Kennex micro?
Yes 20X24 it is. I dont know a lot about them only that the were involved in sports in the 80s. Since its made in Taiwan I believe there is a strong chance it is made by ProKennex the mold looks a lot like PK micro indeed.

I just posted this in the Six One 95 thread:

So, the other day, the neighbour says they got this old ass racquets they never use and want to clear out their shed(which is nice and insulated, carpeted, has a dryer TV etc). And I am like, OK, sure - expecting some old kids aluminium frame. Well, the first thing she hands to me is a kids size aluminium frame. So I am all, yeah of course.
Then the second thing she hands to me is this, a Wilson nCode Six One 95 Team in excellent condition:

One of Wilsons earliest 'platform' sticks. I mean.. 289g and 18X20! What?

Never used that 95 but always though it was one of the best looking frames.

I’m sponsored by Wilson as a coach, so use the Blade and PS97 to coach with. The PS97 is really a nice racket. Both need extra weight added to play how I want though.
The Head Pro Tour 2.0’s are for playing. The Prestige MP/PT57A mold just feels too much like home to give it up, played with them too long to get fully used to anything else just yet.

@WYK - what are your thoughts on the Ki10?

I’m searching for an easy on the arm racquet, that offers additional free power and plush feel. Added control a bonus.

54 yo aggressive baseliner, hoping to get to 4.0 this spring. WTA stroke w/ a THBH. Former Pure Strike 16x Gen3 user, now in recovery. Currently using the Clash 98v1, which is really good, but missing something I loved about the Pure Strike.

Thank you

I'm nearly the same age. I went to the Ki10 to save my arm and finish playing the summer out. I ended up winning the doubles champ's this summer with it.
I'm a former college player myself.
The Ki10 is a bit different from the usual tweeners in that the throat is very flexible, it's well dampened, and it has medium power.
I actually just bought a Clash 98 after trying a friends out. I think the Ki10 and the Clash 98 are close. Though it depends how you have them strung.
Was the strike a 98 or 100? I have a strike 100(it's way too stiff for me), and the Strike has slightly more control and definitely more spin.
I actually think the Ki10 feels way way flexier than the specs state.

Cheers @WYK

Congrats on the win

The PS 16x is a 98 and strung with BiPhase 1.30 @50. It is pretty stiff but the soft multi gives me some relief and the extra power I need. Gets me through a match but I only play the PS dependent on the opponent. The Clash 98 is my primary, which also has BiPhase 1.30 @53.

I think one of the unseen reasons the Clash is easier on your arm is it also gives you some spin for free.
The Ki10 won't give you free spin like a Clash or Strike, but I would argue it is easier on the arm than the Clash is when you shank balls.
They can't be too bad anyways, I am still running poly in them.
I've tried loads of multis and even gut, and they just don't give me the spin and control I like.

I've been on a tear the last few days... bought a Dunlop CX 200 Tour 16x19. Had a gift card balance on A popular website that brought the cost down to $46 dollars, so I pulled the trigger on that. Won an auction for an old Prince Synergy Tour DB Mid Plus. Not sure if this is just a repainted DB 26 or what, but I guess I'll find out. And this morning, I won an auction for what looks like a fairly minty (maybe 9/10) Prince Precision Mono. I may have a Prestige Classic 2.0 coming, also. If I don't post pics, you'll know it's because my wife killed me. Hahahaha.
