Post Pictures of your Racquets and Tennis Gear

@Captain Tezuka - Yes, I mean the Pure Storm LTD. :) I have taken it out of my bag though as I made room for another pair of softies coming in.

@Chyeaah Fuji is my favorite as well! He is one of the most skilled on the show by far. I'm really digging the new episodes, they are a lot higher quality then the first series, although a lot of the voice actors changed so it's taken a bit for me to recognize who is who!

Awesome! It's Sunday here, so my bank is closed, Will send money ASAP! :)

How are the VCores treating you? One of my hitting partners switched to them last week and is having a blast with em!

-Fuji

yeah, monday morning here, so all good.

the v-cores are fantastic, just loving the way you can finish a point with them!

e-mailed you tracking info, agent looked at me like I had asked to send them to Uzbekistan and paid out on the Canadian postal system for about 5 minutes...

Hi Fuji,

*SPOILER ALERT

Haha that has to be true except Tezuka has evolved in the new series too he now is the same as Echizen!!!!
Oh well that would happen if you hadn't continued watching the old series for a while and the new opening song is nice too, ending song is tolerable it's a but weird.

Oh I see so I guess right. Good because I'm slowly getting to know the acroynms of the different racquets.

My 6 YT Prestige MPs, all equipped with Fairway grips.

Ring&Roll tuned them to perfection, they're all the same now.

Hi, can I ask what tape you are using at the top of your grips? I am after tape of that width. I have some narrowing PVC tape but it doesnt seem wide enough to finish the grip up properly, yours looks a lot better.

Thanks

Just some random electical tape from the hardware store, home depot or somewhere else. I don't bother too much about those things. Just buy what works, and then buy cheap ;)

Thanks for confirming, I actually prefer the look of that to the thinner tape you get with grips.

i have used all kinds of stuff to tape grips since i tend to lose the tape they give you. i think the last time i used a band aid lol

^good stuff!!!!!!!!!!!
can you give us a rundown? i cant tell what they all are. love the slazenger

Sorry for the late reply. from left to right,

Cup, thanks for the tip. I am poly player usually, but now I have some problems with my elbow and try different multi. In these racquets I put NRG 2 and Volkl Power Fiber II. First impression about strings really good, but sweet spot this frame very small. In general, this is not an issue in the case of a healthy hand, but now it's not so good

^^^ Loving the Tour 10s Od1n. So do you use those still or the vanatages? Are they similar at all? By the way, I made a thread in the TW Questions/Comments section about asking volkl to do a re-release of the T10MP gen 1, but TW still hasnt answered.

They are pretty similar in specs the way I have them setup.
I'm transitioning to the Vantages, just had all 5 of them matched and some weight taken off.
The vantages are slightly firmer, just as solid, have a slightly more open pattern and they offer a bit more punch when compared to the Tour 10's.
The tour 10's though...are great racquets, the reason I changed was the availability of the vantages and unavailability of grommets and / or new old stock Tour 10's. I've just sold 2 of the Tour 10's and kept one "for old times sake".
I like the fact that Vantage will probably still offer the model I'm playing in 3 years time and I can buy them new instead of hunting on eb4y.
I also prefer the grip shape of the vantages when compared to the Volkl's, I had to do some modifying work on the handles for those Tour 10's to get them to my liking.

2Art-Art, I bought on TW, and where to return, by place of residence, in Russia?

You can try your seller TW, or Head in Austria.

10grams its a very big difference, try to talk to them, and ask a replacement.
Those are very $$$ high cost racket, to accept such failure.

Good luck with that, and keep us informed about how it goes...

2Art, thanks for the advice, but I hardly they will use. I have no great problem in the difference. I am an amateur, not tournament player. And both racquets are suitable for games with different opponents. Heavier will be used in a game against hard hitters. Photos posted to confirm of poor quality control Head`s racquets

Head margin is +/- 7g, therefore, this is within the margin (two corners)...
Also, different strings weigh different....

^ Oh yeah!!!! the RDS002Tours.... Great..Great sticks.

Don't blame you for abandoning Yonex with the PST's. Far beyond any other company, I believe Yonex has done the most to alienate their base.

You can't find equivelant (spec-wise) Yonex frames, today, that were in production 5 short years ago.

It's like every 2years Yonex says.. 'alright guys, we're making some good frames.. let's change everything'.

You must work for Head ... now I am sure.

10 grams difference ... and you say it's ok ... it's the strings ... maybe photoshopped ... ok ok

And one more time you gone be right ... take the bike!

Dr is actually in the right here. Different strings weight different amounts, and Head does state +/- 7 grams. If they were both unstrung without overgrips, and they were out of the 7 grams, I would see a problem, but alas they are not.

I am not sure why you got so excited about this, and what you tried to say, however, I just stated the obvious -- Some rackets operate on +/-7g and some on +/-10 g margin. Some (Yonex) do not.

Strings -- that was a stupid comment from you, I am sure you realized that, especially when the string weight differences can be 5g from poly to gut...

And no, I do not work in the racket/tennis industry, however, in this case, a 6-year-old could come up with the same conclusion...
