Early to mid 2000s, my photos were all over the place. There used to be a lot of non-commercialized tennis forums, before vbulletin got expensive af.

Thought I had a lot until I opened this thread....

So really I should thank you for making my collection seem reasonable :-D

How do you like the Mizuno 5s vs the 4s? Nice tweak with the purple laces btw.
It's a good shoe, but a very different shoe. Really shouldn't be in the "Exceed Tour" lineage, imo.

I'll be writing more thoughts on them in the specific thread on the shoe.

(& on the laces: I keep a small assortment of NB laces in colors so I can snazzy up my sneaks since the og laces are typically just a boring match of the dominant color )

If it wasn't for the cushioning those would still be playable right? :happydevil:

I thought they would be dry rotted but not so much. The outsole on the Ablaze shoes are worn out. Not to mention I wear a whole size bigger now. My kids are like “Send them to one of those YouTube channels that restore vintage Nikes/Jordans!”

This is a current picture. I now have 3 pairs that are deadstock. One unpictured literally just came in via Poshmark....New in box! White base with orange/blue. 2019 Clay swing colorway.
Another unpictured pair are worn to hell white black from initial launch.
I rotate 3 at a time. The ones on the left are nearly worn out.

Glad to see someone found something they liked, stashed up, and are still hunting them down even after 4 years of discontinuation. The C3s were definitely very different from the C4s which superceded them in it's narrow fit, lighter weight, and lower to the ground feeling. Good stuff

No clue, its a mystery on the cage threads. I never even tried on a 4. I’m sure I would get addicted to those too. I just loved the 3, kept rotating & Ebaying

Those are exclusives from one of TW's competitor's, right? Think I've seen em before.

Kinda digging em actually. (y)
Thanks for calling me out...:p
Kidding, yes they were an exclusive from a couple European retailers.
They were the cheapest and I needed the clay court version.

I also like em more than I thought, I typically go for flashier stuff but black shoes are really underrated.

My Solecourt collection - 5 clay outsole pairs in the back, 5 all court pairs in the front. Play mostly on clay so all the all court pairs (bar one) are in almost new / brand new condition.
Nice…but…why??? Why buying more if you’re never going to go through the existing ones?

Asking for a friend (me) with a similar obsession

I just like my shoes to match with the outfit. I really like the SCBs in general, so I just want to get them in as many different colours as I can. I'll go through them all eventually. One or two clay court pairs are probably ready for the bin now but I'm still using them as a practice shoes.

I've been playing exclusively in Barricades ever since I took up the sport again at the start of the Corona Years after a long absence from the courts. But, intrigued by a cheap sale price on those Courtjam Controls on the right, I made an impulse buy at the adidas website and have played with them a couple of times so far. Initial impressions are good: comfortable cushioning, similar grippy outsole to the Barricade with some more toebox room and flexibility (which I appreciate because I wear 3 layers of thick socks). I hate white shoes, but if another colorway goes on sale at some point, I won't hesitate to put them in the ol' cart. The 2 pairs of Barricades on the left are in the current rotation, and the black/yellow/purple ones are new/unworn so far.
