I think it was. He knew he wasn't winning RG, and given that he was a bit beat up and injured anyway, it would have been silly to play. I think he is sure to be seeded 2nd or 3rd at Wimbledon. I know they use a combination of recent Wimbledon results and rankings. I think Murray would still have enough to be seeded 2nd, plus would they really have the balls to downgrade Murray's seeding behind someone ranked lower (even if it is Federer) there. I doubt it.Federer's withdrawal from FO was partially strategic, wasn't it? But the question is how much that would do to help him move up in the Winbledon draw?
@MichaelNadal is one of my favorite posters and I say that knowing he doesn't like Djokovic who I am a big fan of, and is a huge fan of Nadal who I dislike. He helps keep long lightness, unpredictability, genuine emotion and passion, and humour to this oh-so-serious forum where a large variety of individuals seem to think themselves and their opinions are far more important than they really are. What do you guys expect? It's @MichaelNadal an embarrassment. Doesn't know much about anything tennis related, unless it's about Rafa's kit or something like that ROFL.

A bit too optimistic about Djokovic, aren't you?Djokovic Murray still, then again US Open and then every 2017 final. Thiem will win a 1000 somewhere in there. There's the next 18 months for you, enjoy.
I can't exactly call it optimistic.A bit too optimistic about Djokovic, aren't you?
Considering who you were responding to it really shouldn't have come as a surprise to you mate. The way I've been ganged up on in here for legitimately believing in Novak's chance to win Wimbledon is stunning. Just unbelievable. I'm done with this.
Sure Djokovic has gained the momentum and a new level of confidence, and he is in-form, but would all of these help him to travel that far until 2017?I can't exactly call it optimistic.
He might have a post CGS let downFederer, nor anyone not named Novak Djokovic is winning Wimbledon. 3 sets is entirely too much for anyone on tour to take from The Mummy in a single match.
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how he reacts when Wimbledon gets underway. I can't wait for it to start! He might have a post CGS let down
Are you still harassing strangers on the Internet by pestering them to describe their private parts?Considering who you were responding to it really shouldn't have come as a surprise to you mate.![]()
Barring injury or drop in motivation I don't see anything in his way for the next year and a half. He is gonna be even more confident now after RG as if he needed any more confidence to begin with. Now he's gonna be crazy motivated to win the CYGS so that'll keep him focused at least this year.Sure Djokovic has gained the momentum and a new level of confidence, and he is in-form, but would all of these help him to travel that far until 2017?
I wouldnt be surprised if he didnt win wimbledon to be honest. He just won something that he had been going after for yearsYeah, it'll be interesting to see how he reacts when Wimbledon gets underway. I can't wait for it to start!![]()
Yeah, well... The good thing is he's got three weeks to recover mentally. I think he'll do just fine.I wouldnt be surprised if he didnt win wimbledon to be honest. He just won something that he had been going after for years
Please don't. As others have said you are one of the better posters here. Even if you don't like Nole! The way I've been ganged up on in here for legitimately believing in Novak's chance to win Wimbledon is stunning. Just unbelievable. I'm done with this.
Would certainly suit the color of the surface, as I'll throw if that happens again.I think we might get another djoker - Murray final!
CYGS, yeah that'd be so elegant! And it's very hard not to think about it after his FO title. And that's actually what the OP was trying to research primarily. If he made it, he would put himself at an indisputable position superior to Laver/Federer, wouldn't he? But, the question is, would this be too huge for him to carry on and cash?Barring injury or drop in motivation I don't see anything in his way for the next year and a half. He is gonna be even more confident now after RG as if he needed any more confidence to begin with. Now he's gonna be crazy motivated to win the CYGS so that'll keep him focused at least this year.
MaestroniansLOL @MichaelNadal who would have thought that Maestronians would end up having a bigger problem with you than Ultronians.![]()

Just put obnoxious posters on ignore and please continue to post here. Thanks.
Eww lol, *************.Maestronians

I read an article earlier saying sources close to him say he's doubtful about W.Will Nadal even play W? Will his wrist be healed enough? If he attempts to come back too soon, he's gonna pay the high price for it. Maybe he should target summer hard at this point.
Because Djoker is ready for those guys. He may not be ready for someone of lesser stature who plays the match of his life.I agree that the dynamic has changed, but I think Murray can still beat him.
Djokovic is the favorite, obviously, but what makes you think someone else has a better chance of beating him than Murray or Federer?
What makes you think that Djoker will not make the final? Can't really say anything about Federer until I see his level in the preceding grass tournaments; I think Djokovic will lose before the final, and Murray will make the semis or better.
Sensible answer. You may be right.Because Djoker is ready for those guys. He may not be ready for someone of lesser stature who plays the match of his life.
Yeah, it is too tight for him to get proper prep for it. Better skip it and focus on getting an Olympic medal and going deep at USO this summer.I read an article earlier saying sources close to him say he's doubtful about W.
That's how the greats decline. They don't start losing to the other top guys; they get stunned by players you'd never expect. See Rosol/Darcis/Dustin Brown, Richard Krajicek, Jiri Vesely.Sensible answer. You may be right.
I still believe (somewhat shakily) that Novak's worst surface is grass relatively speaking. I haven't been convinced by his average tournament level over the last few years, and I think it's the surface on which he's most likely to be upset; he's flirted with disaster over the last few years going 5 with Cilić, almost choking away the '14 final, and then going 5 with Anderson, but it must be said those players were playing well, and it wasn't a case of Djokovic playing terrible. I don't think he can get away with an average tournament level and just turn it on for the finals 3 years running on grass; I think this time around he gets burned. What makes you think that Djoker will not make the final?
Federer, nor anyone not named Novak Djokovic is winning Wimbledon. 3 sets is entirely too much for anyone on tour to take from The Mummy in a single match.
Tbh in a strange way I'm starting to root for him. Mainly bc I can't believe how many people STILL don't get the clue that he's not beatable in slams any time soon. What will it take? Jesus! Idk how many more beatdowns he has to deliver. "Not a lock for Wimbledon" LOL!
I've never bet on a match and I'm not going to start to impress you. It's hilarious the denial you're in. What I want and what I believe are 2 different things. No one is good enough to take 3 sets off Novak at Wimbledon, I might not like it but im done denying how great he is and it's time everyone else acknowledges it too. He's winning the title, bookmark this page.
@MichaelNadal made out an idiot. Again. What's new?Im 300% right, and we will talk after Wimbledon. Get your hopes up for whoever you want![]()
Oh you're not raining on this parade today, ill happily eat those words, they taste like fried chicken
