"How fast is this character Federer..."

Quick, vertical recovery during the point

Lateral coverage defending near winners and winning the point (shot at 1:16 should totally be a winner)

This one might not even look or feel like a huge point coverage point but notice just how much from side to side he's silently covering to work this point out... talk about effortless lateral coverage there.

early vid of Fed in 2002, just unreal speed and anticipation, its so underrated how quick he actually was/is

Nice post. 10 years ago, quite amazing.

I saw a 12 minute video of this match on youtube a while back. It was fun to see some Federer kodak moments, but his movement was not that amazing back then. TheJenday always nitpicks highlights, but Federer was quite frustrated in that match and Enqvist was completely outhitting him from the baseline and Fed's defense was simply not strong enough to hold him off.

4 years later, Federer was a monster...

Lsmkenpo better not appreciate any of the points in this thread.

Obviously, these guys are all pushers, because they're all running for the ball.

Real tennis players stand on one spot and hit the lines, the back fence and the net all day (if the ball comes to them). That way the match is on their racket.

Covering the court makes you a pusher. True hitters respect the winner. Keep it real, dude.

Federer v Davydenko in Rotterdam this year (sorry if it's been posted).

Point beginning at 5:26 (how does Fed get to that Davydenko forehand around 5:40, and return it well? :shock:);

And again at 12:16.

Ah... just watch the whole thing actually, it's entertaining :D
