this thread might be good for warranty shoe claim references and might have some ideas that the warranty will be granted or not.

post your shoes before shoe warranty claim and let us know whether you got replacement shoes or not.

I've claimed several shoes and I got all replacement shoes.
I think if you can make a hole, 99%.... companies will give a replacement shoes.

my first shoe warranty claim.
Prince OC-1 (wore about 9 weeks -I think I put 130 hrs).
Prince sent the replacement shoes within 7 days (Fastest company)

My warranty was granted and it took about two weeks to get the voucher. I used two vouchers today and ordered one neon CB 2.3, CB 1.3 and breathe cage II.

Many people ask about conditions of their shoes whether it will be qualified for the warranty or not.
I think this thread should be at sticky.

Good to hear that your warranty was granted ^_^
hope people continue to post pics and follow up their status of the warranty so we will not have same threads over and over again.
BTW what shoes was it? I think I remember it was prince shoes.....

I used to claim my CB 1.3 when I get a hole at toe area but this time my heel area rubber is gone (only played 9 weeks). I did not know whether I should claim or not but if your warranty was granted, I might send my shoes for the warranty.
thanks for the info.

Can anyone else verify that? It's not that I don't believe you, I've just heard different things from different people

I don't think you can claim the warranty if you buy it from nordstrom rack ( I don't think nordstrom rack count as authorized dealer but regular nordstrom Store does) but I've never tried before though. I usually buy sales shoes from Nike website or local stores ( usually pay below $60 ranges). I always got $120 vouchers.

Yeah I was curious about the whole nordstrom rack thing too. I'll have to call them today and see what they say.

also where can you get the warranty card?
I think nike requires the warranty card. not like Adidas.
hopefully customer service representative knows well about the warranty.
if someone ask something which they do not know well, their usual answer is "NO". ^__^

My thoughts exactly about them not knowing! Its much easier for them to say no than to actually look into it. I have plenty of other warranty cards from other cb2.3s I've bought. They're all the same

I created this thread because so many people asks about their warranty and many different answers from all members. Also most people does not follow up after their warranty claim so we only speculate whether their warranty might be good enough or not.

I guess I don't understand. You use the **** outta the shoes and then send them back because you used them so much they wore through? How is that a manufacturing defect?

sounds like you never had shoes which come with 6 month outsole warranty.
not every shoes has 6 month outsole warranty. Barricade and courtballistec 1.3 and 2.3 are most popular shoes which come with 6 month outsole warranty.

the 6 month outsole warranty is not for the manufacturing defect.

it's not a defect. it's a warranty because the company guarantees 6 months on certain shoes' outsoles. so if you wear through that outsole within the time frame they will send you a new pair.

the companies must have done enough research to make a profit on these kind of warranties by increasing the price of the shoe knowing that the majority of players will not be able to wear through the outsole. this calculation must have included the avg. hour played per week/month for the avg. player and calculated the avg. wear on the outsole for this given time. players that are able to claim this warranty therefore must either harder (more running/stopping movements per calculated time) on their shoes than the avg. player, or they must play more than the avg. time calculated.

it too me ~70 hrs of play to wear through my shoes enough for warranty. I accomplished this is about 3-4 months. for some people they will not be able to play 70 hrs in that time period (it was summer for me so i had plenty of free time). Instead they play 70 hrs in 8 months and won't be able to qualify for warranty. given this calculation this person plays tennis for about 2 hrs a week. To get it down to 6 months a person would have to play a little less than 3 hrs a week. so for weekend warriors and people with jobs, play time is limited to the weekends usually. and if it rains on that weekend they probably won't make the warranty time.

Wow. Only use 70 hours? You might have crazy foot works ^_^
I have good foot works. Try to reach balls everytime....
I usually put 120-150 Hours then claim warranties. Usually take 3 months.

U dont need the warranty card for Nike returns. U can fill out your claim submission online and get a Claim # that way.

http://www.nikebiz.com/customer_service/return_guidelines/footwear.html

Maybe you did not read all of it ^_^. It exactly state that the warranty claim needs the original warranty card.

"Some Nike Tennis footwear styles have a 6 month outsole guarantee and require the dated original or copy of the original receipt and the original warranty card. This is a one-time NikeStore.com Product Voucher replacement."

I have read it. It's a common misperception that it's actually needed. I've returned Nike tennis shoes numerous times w/o the warranty card and yet to have a single claim denied. Alot of the times, the shoes at the Factory stores don't have the claim cards in the boxes.

does nike offer anything similar for customers from uk? or do any of the online retailers (uk based) offer anything? i havent seen any that do, but was just wondering if anyone else had? it only seems a tad strange that they would have a warranty for shoes in one country and not another. only other place ive bought nike shoes from is dubai, and they didnt seem to have any warranty. is there something that comes with the shoes?

Hey I was wondering if these are good enough to be sent in. I've worn the shoe all the way down to the max air, but nothing toe area yet.

I think it's enough to send it for the warranty claim. I think I saw somewhere someone asked about similar situation like you (It was much less than yours but got the voucher). Let us know whether you got the warranty or not.
Good luck!

huh, interesting. Yeah I've never heard of shoes with that kind of warranty. Seems like they'd run into people who, after 5.5 months, throw the thing on a belt sander and then collect a new pair. Is it just once or do they keep replacing them every 6 months? Free shoes for life!

just once! that would be verryy nice if you could do it more than once. I'm sure there's plenty of people who use the sander when they get close!

Yes. You can definitely send those in. I just received my Nike voucher after sending these in. They're only worn through in the heels as well.

I am not shoe warranty inspector hahaha. I only give my opinion based on my experiences. When more members follow up their warranty, we might have some guide lines ^_^
Once you post pics here, please let us know your warranty was granted or not.
