Potential NextGen tournament participants

I looked up the current rankings of under 21 players and found the 14 top ranked players. 8 players will participate. Obviously the #1 will play at the ATP finals instead of defending his NextGen win from last year!

5. Sebastien Baez
6. Jack Draper
7. Jenson Brooksby
8. Jiri Lehecka
9. Brandon Nakashima
10. Hugo Gaston
11. Chun-Tsin Tseng
12. Tomas Machac
13. Dominic Stricker
14. Francesco Passaro

2-9 are the most likely participants.

I know not everybody enjoys NextGen - I happen to love it! It gives the young players a place to be introduced to us. I first saw and appreciated Sebastien Baez at last year's event (he was the only one to take a set from the winner Carlos Alcaraz).

Sebastian Baez and Hugo Gaston can’t play because they will be 22 by the time of the tournament. Sinner easily had the best chance to win this year.

I preferred it when players would “introduce” themselves by winning majors. Not by playing among themselves at the kids table.
