POWER Level: Cat V1 mid vs Cat 10?

I have played with the Cat V1 mid and am wondering how the Cat 10 compares. The V1 is too powerful for me - am looking for a small step down in power - would the Cat 10 be what I am looking for? Thx

I believe the Cat 10 has less power than the Cat V1 MP. The stats I have show the Cat 10 to have a beam of 22 mm, thinner than the 27mm head/22 mm throat, so that favors that.

I played just today with my Cat V1 MP, which is leaded up, but haven't played with my Cat 10 demo in a while. I've liked the Cat V1 MP for hard doubles and passing shots. I'm old with pretty good strength yet, but pulling out the blunderbus for some extra mph is nice. It beats my regular Prince NXG Tour Graphite OS for that power.

The Cat 10 is quite a good racquet, so I'm sorry to see it be pulled form the Volkl line.

First: Since you own or have played with both can you give me a more detailed comparison:

Second: I know you have to be careful with TW's "power" comparisons per their reviews - but both the Cat V1 Mid and the new V-9 engine got the same 75 power rating. That surprises me, but I am wondering if ANYONE has HIT with BOTH and can add to that comparison. I would think the Cat V1 Mid would be more powerful then the new V-9 engine?

-And how would the Cat 10 compete power wise with the new V-9 engine?

Thx in advance

It is probably at least 4 months since I hit with the Cat 10 and I've played a lot and hit with different racquets (checking them out), so my memory is dimmed.

I know that I chose to get a Cat V1 MP and added weight to achieve weight and balance of an old frame that I've always liked. (The balance was close, it needed the added weight.) The main reason for buying it was the level of power for the doubles purpose I stated in my first message.

I haven't played with the V-9.
