The blind hog (me) has found some acorns and somehow is in contention, close third with more picks than the other leaders. This is very interesing leauge as it seems at the end you must pick to close out or close the gap with other players.

I know I may change my picks at the last moment and I may after the first match in Tokyo (Wawa vs Muller.) I greatly fear everyone left, except maybe NYKings and stringer who are nearly out of picks. One of the issues with this league is who has the last pick. I've got my last three out front and I will be watching the other picks and may make a change during player warm ups even(?).

Trying to make the Power Play league interesting to outsiders by discussing my stupid newbie thoughts. Please inform me if any of the above proposed late pick changes, etc. are bad form, or part of the fun of the league. Game on!

I knew you would pick Djokonaut with your last pick! Congratulations rainingaces! Final standings:

Should have kept swinging for the fences and gone with my original final set of picks (which included Paire for 15), but played it conservative to close out many of the leaders. Picked Paire in final round because I figured only way to beat rainingaces. I died when Paire was sitting on drinks cooler with pal Wawrinka agreeing that the roof should be closed in Tokyo (too misty). That made the court slower and conditions more predictable, all things in Wawrinka's favor. Fun match to watch.

  • Thank you to everybody for participating. Our next event will be the Shanghai. Still time to join! See you there.

BLNT Meles.

I thought I had blown it but benny pears saved the day. Thank you organisers once again on a job well done.
Kudos to NYKings for handling these two tournaments. I debated whether I did the right thing going the sure Djokonaut for five points in the semis and saving back a pick. I think I did. It probably got me second place for sure and a great shot at first. Paire pulled off quite the upset over Nishikori.
