WELCOME to the 7th edition of INDIAN WELLS MASTERS (03/09-03/19)

HOW TO PLAY:

SUMMARY:

1. Pick winners for 24 matches out of 95 matches.

2. For every correct prediction, you get certain assigned points.
For e.g.: [1] N Djokovic (SRB) vs. [5] D Ferrer (ESP) - (7-14)
If you predict Novak as winner and he wins, you get 7 points.
If you predict Ferrer as winner and he wins, you get 14 points.

3. Whoever gets the most points after 24 picks wins the title.

DETAILED EXPLANATION:

For each round of matches, we assign scoring points to each individual. For example, a match between Novak Djokovic (12,920) and David Ferrer (6,505) would have the following scoring points:

For Indian Wells, as it's an ATP Masters 1000 (IW & Miami) event, the player picks the winner of 24 out of 95 matches based on the provided scoring points. The scoring points are calculated by a mathematical formula based on the players’ rankings. The objective of the game is to pick a mix of upsets and "sure bets" that will give you the highest score. All matches will be posted in the thread with scoring points while also being available in the League File. We hope you all join and we can make this bigger and better than our previous events!

REMINDER: You can join at any time (even if you want to pick just the final) but to make all 24 picks for Indian Wells, you must make your first pick before the conclusion of the THIRD ROUND.​

:eek: Ugh. Went back in to see the problem and the fixture engine is correct. Must have been google sheetz temporary brain fart. Fixed itself.:confused: All other numbers unchanged.

@gnana prakash do you know what some of these mean? Stumped on 21 and 25.

Something I want to note in entering these is that the bolded format may be the easiest on the league admins eyes. Its very easy to assign a and b and I'm really noticing this for the first time as this is such a big event with a lot of picks (24). Stringer may have been the originator of bold format. Please do not follow in Stringers new bold footsteps with cryptic picks (which are fine usually). 28 and 30 are easy enough, but even 24 is probably hard for most league participants to decipher.

Hehe. I just got 21 which refers to US journalist Geraldo Rivera. 25 refers to a US manufacturer of windows (Pella) and Guido is a mob name (the New Jersey association.) @stringertom perhaps some easier clues as your fellow leaguers would like to know your picks.;)

I'm not creative enough to have introduced the bolding technique but thanks for the false attribution.

Bolding option, along with itals and underlining, (I p1ssed!) went away for me with some stoopid Apple software update a couple of months ago. I keep praying it will magically reappear so CAPS LOCK is the only option. Maybe you have "pull" with Cupertino...you're so connected with gadgetry.:cool:

Ai sorry for creativity attempts, which give u scratchy scalp. A coupon for Selsun Blue on the way to you as a symbol of "mea culpa".:cool:
