That's ok. For future reference we'd prefer you quote the match structure and bold your picks. Its very helpful when entering to see both players so we can assign either "a" for the first player or "b" for the 2nd player. I prefer bold because because this a or b entry is even clearer, but you're fine to do cryptic and colorful picks too. Just show the match structure. Example:
7. Mischa Zverev (GER) vs. Jiri Vesely (CZE) - (8-12)
or
7. Mischa Zverev (GER) vs. Jiri Vesely (CZE) - (8-12) JV in 2
What you did was great by saying you were close to match start time. We had a couple later pickers in prediction league yesterday. One didn't say anything and then you have to go through 13 picks and sort that out. Best option is to shoot a pick in ASAP if you are close and then you could self police by quickly checking the ATP live match or similar tool/ticker. These show the points almost instantaneously and you can come back and reply to your own post and say nope 1 game alreay done I missed it or perhaps if you make it then you can say ticker does not show any points. If its close just say where score is, ex. 0-15 and gnana will split the baby. If you don't have time to self-police, BigD and Gnana have resources as they used today. If you're actively watching the match and in warmup be careful. TV channels may lag as much as a couple minutes so if players are taking serves its time to get the pick in. Of course a comment on warmup helpful when making a closer pick. I've seen the wind blowing or other things that will get me to pick at last second (the one time I did this I lost but ymmv.) Keep playing and enjoy TTW.![]()
