WELCOME TO THE TALK TENNIS 2010 BEIJING/TOKYO POWER PLAY LEAGUE​

Welcome to the eighth installment of the Power Play League. We had a good showing at the US Open and we hope that we'll have an even bigger crowd for the combined Beijing/Tokyo tournaments, two ATP 500 tournaments.

The player/participant picks the winner of a fixed number of matches based on the provided scoring points. The objective of each tournament is to to choose matches that will give you the highest total score.

For the China Open & Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships, as it's a combined tournament of two 500 events, we'll be picking any 16 matches (not all from one round) out of total of 62. For the combined tourney, you MUST pick at least 4 matches from each tournament. All matches will be posted in the thread with scoring points and will also be available in the league file. Please read the Instructions and FAQ for further details. We hope you all join and we can make this bigger and better than our previous events!

Rankings Points that will be assigned will be posted later. The winner will get 1,000 points and the 80% scale after that.

You pick the winner of any sixteen matches from Tokyo/Beijing. (No more than 12 from one tournament and you can't pick all sixteen from the first round.)

You decide on which matches you want by looking at the scoring points. Those points are based on a player's ATP ranking for that week and compare the two that are playing. So usually you pick the upsets that can give you the most points (but also are likely to happen).

Just give it a try. No harm in some trial and error the first few times.
