Can you tell us about the setting? Is this a typical Moscow indoor court? I take it that is what we call a “peanut gallery“ on the far side, for observers. Must be nice not to have to chase your balls very far, but I bet the sound would be a huge adjustment for some of us.
Yeah, sure
it's formerly industrial building with now 3 isolated courts. Other halls of the building used for other needs, it's quite big.
Actually, it appears to be one of the best indoor facility in the city - relatively slow high-quality surface and great lights built specifically for tennis:
The conditioning pipes are again - utility, also newly-made for tennis courts, not from before-times... well, it's 10+ years "newly-made"
This particular court has a curtain behind as there's a gym zone behind - and on the "gallery" there's a group class zone. Two othe courts have walls and also "galleries" for those willing to watch.
Side space is ok for singles, but sometimes narrow for doubles, that's true.
PS Most indoor facilities in Moscow are bubbles, sport halls, newly built or old. But sometimes they can find a facility like this - redesigned for new purpose.
