^LOL at the Davis Cup  Is that meant to be hilarious, or are you serious?

If Nadal wins Rome, he wins the RG too IMO!

If Berdych and Stepanek can single handedly win the Davis Cup twice then Roger and Wawrinka are more than capable of winning it. I think Federer will decide to play it to boost his confidence.

And Nadal will always be the favorite for RG, but I think this is the year that Djokovic finally gets the best of him there for once.

Its so tough to call this years winners of the events, so much is a 50/50 right now. Murray might no recover, Federer might come back, Raonic/Wawrinka/Delpo could step up. Nadal could have a huge comedown from his insane 2013. Djokovic does seem to dropping in form a little but i expect he'll probably be as consistant as ever.

My predictions:

AO: Djokovic beats Nadal. (The only guy who's looked close to beating Djokovic here is Murray and i dont think he'll be back to 100% fitness yet, thus Nadal in the final but Novak will still take it)

FO: Delpo beats Djokovic. (Im sticking with my earlia post predictions of claiming neither Nadal or Djokovic will win it, thus im left with no other choice but to pick a player who is capable of beating them both)

W: Murray beats Nadal. (Djokovic wont make the final again because i expect him and Nadal to stay 1 and 2 thus Murray will most likely meet him in the semi and beat him and stay consistant enough to beat Nadal)

USO: Nadal beats Wawrinka (Calling a big shock here but im going to say that Murray loses to Nadal in the SF and Delpo knocks out Djokovic at QF but then loses to Wawrinka in SF)

(Seems like everyone is posting a short simple answer to this, sorry for making your eyes bleed with a wall of text. xD)

Del Potro breaks through to the top tier; Murray starts to regain his form the second half of the year; Fed gets a farewell Masters shield.

Kind of a funky year, but that's how I'm seeing it.

Del Potro is overrated. Yeah he won the US Open that one time, but the reality is that Federer should've never lost that one, and now people put him on a pedestal.

There, finally got that off my chest.

Serious Question:

Why is everyone thinking Murray is going to come back and have a Nadal like season winning slams, i.e Wimbledon?

Last I checked, he was having neck surgery, or something of that variety, I feel like I need to see his form on his comeback before I'll vouch for Murray, remember he isn't a killer like Fed, Nadal and Nole, he is just beneath them - and Nadal is back and he can still win Wimbledon despite losing twice early

I guess Wimby would be about the time he would be hitting his stride, but I just have to see, nothing is a given with him.

I think I already predicted Nole for the Calendar slam, but Nadal can do it too - which is the most outlandish pick I can make, but I'm going for it.. I just have a feeling this year is going to be another Nole/Nadal show.

Yep, I'm calling a Rafa slam. Though I could also see Delpo taking SW19 and/or Djoker grabbing a second US Open (he certainly deserves a second one, he's too great a player to have won multiples at only one slam).

Get your facts right muppet - Murray had back surgery.

People also thought Murray had no chance to win Wimbledon after pulling out of FO with the back injury (which many people called him faking it or it was a deliberate tank), so who knows, maybe he will come back and hit the ground running.

BrookylnNY made it clear that he was unsure about what type of surgery Murray was having when he said "or something of that variety". No need to be a dbag. However, you just can't resist can you? When Murray is involved, you turn into the most obnoxious and militant fanboy imaginable.

Clearly using sense of humour is not allowed here. Must retract or remember to add a smiley next. Thanks man. You must be a bundle of laughs in a nightout.

Here's my two cents:

Australian Open: Federer d. Murray
Roland Garros: Djokovic d. Nadal
Wimbledon: Federer d. Janowicz
US Open: Djokovic d. De Potro

Indian Wells: Federer

Probably a bit optimistic, but expecting Federer to have another resurgent season a la 2012, and Janowicz and Del potro to step up...

Thanks for the post. I also thought it was clear that I was unsure of the exact details of Murray's situation, but I knew enough that he was out.

Neck surgery...back surgery.... I don't know. What I do know is that those are both potentially dangerous surgeries to have in the first place, and typically have long(er) roads to recovery than many other injuries on limbs and so forth.

Sid, perhaps we don't understand the level of humor and wit that is occurring here.

Insult is a very high brow humor, that we just may not connect with. We just may not understand his use of the word "muppet" to correct someone in a comedic setting.

Perhaps if this poster was truly funny, he would have just said 'you moron'.

Some of the predictions in this thread must have taken a considerable amount of elbow grease and tissues. Well done! :)

Seriously:
AO: Nadal def Djokovic
FO: Nadal def Federer
Wimbledon: Murray def Djokovic
USO: Nadal def Davydenko. ;)

Masters: Nadal 4, Murray 2, Federer 2, Del Potro 1.

Djokovic's season will be worthwhile due to his triumphant victory in the WTF against Murray in the final.

that also a tough 5 setter stretching 5 hours due to cramps in his calves and hamstring tweak
