Predict slam winners for next year, both men and women

AO - Djokovic
French - Djokovic
Wimbledon - Federer (oh go on, let it be)
USO - Murray

I'm still not seeing enough from the ones underneath to suggest they'll improve enough to win a slam next year. Would love Stan to be in the mix, but the great thing about Stan is he's not even predictably unpredictable.

May be, but Stan is not in the game for a Slamless year, I can assure you.

I hope not! But now, Stan must rest, his slumber undisturbed until a slam rolls round he deems worthy of leaving his bed for. Could it be Wimbledon, 2017...?

Nicely put! I hope he wins in London, would be spectacular, against Fed in the final!

Every player fears the Stanimal awakening from his slumber, this we know....

Aus: Djokovic/Stan Kerber
RG: Rafa/Dominic/Stan Muguruza
Wimby: Roger Serena
US: Delpo Serena

I am torn when Djokovic and Stan play in finals since I love both. Plus I am not sure which I want more, Djokovic to catch/pass Fed in slam wins or Stan to end up with more slams than Murray. I almost hope they dont play in another final so my loyalties arent divided.

I hope Serena atleast reaches if not passes 24 this year. I think she is ready to retire, but waiting until she gets to 25 to do so.

I think it would be awesome for the mens game if either Nishikori or Theim wins a slam, or even both, despite that I am not a fan of either. Either a middle aged group player (Nishikori) or younger aged group (Theim or Kygrios, etc..)breaking through would be a huge break for the mens game. As long as Raonic doesnt win one, I cant stomach that. Literally I think I would lose my lunch if that ever happens. He is just a more annoying and less talented version of Roddick, which is pretty bad.

I always want Stan to beat Djokovic, his backhand is sublime. I don't think Djokocic will get past 15 slams, and I think Roger will end with 18 or 19. I'd love to see Stan win another French, it'd really be a big boost to his reputation.

Roger is 95% likely to end at 17 slams IMO. It would be a big surprise if he wins another at this point. His last will have been 5 years ago soon, he is 35 and just had surgery.

I think Djokovic can end anywhere from 15-19. Every slam opportunity he has from here on is important to which end he will be closer too.

I love Stanimal though. In full flight he is the most beautiful to watch and he is such a nice guy too, he is impossible not to root for, even though Djokovic is my favorite. It is also refreshing everyone here seems to like him unlike the nasty and childish feuds between crazy Fed fans, nutty Nadal nutters, zealous Djokovic fans, and a few crazy Murray fans or Murray haters. Stan is kind of everyones good guy.

Impossible to dislike Stan, unless you're Nick Kyrgios. Sorry to tell you that mate.

Wozniacki in a Wimbledon final!?!? That is the last place she would ever go far in a slam. Even odder than Wawrinka winning Wimbledon.

AO: Novak and Pliskova
FO: Wawrinka and Halep
Wim: Murray and Keys or Serena
USO: Delpo and Kerber

Total guess on every single one and I wouldn't be suprised if all of them prove to be wrong

Although I like her I very much question if Pliskova will ever win a slam. The U.S Open might end up being her best shot. Her movement is a huge hole, and now that she is more of a threat the others will study her game more and learn to exploit it. Someone like Keys and even Muguruza hit even harder, in Key's case serve as well, and move far better (not great but much better than Pliskova who is downright poor). Once those girls get their mental games and consistency Pliskova's opening will be almost closed for good.

Please dont say Kygrios. Kygrios and Raonic are the only two players, either men or women, I will literally puke if they win a slam. If they make a final only to get schooled by someone else is fine. I didnt mind Raonic making the Wimbledon final since Murray gave him a tennis lesson. If Kygrios somehow reaches a slam final in 2017 have Wawrinka beat him 6-1, 6-2, 6-1 and say "sorry to tell you mate, I banged your mom" at the net.

And I care about any of this, why? I just want the guy to win something already. He's got the talent, that's for sure, but hasn't utilized it at all.

He has talent for sure but he is the biggest d0uche on tour hands down (well other than maybe Tomic). For that alone I will always root against him. I dont even think he is as talented as some say either. I agree he is more talented than say Raonic or Dmitrov clearly. However that isnt saying much. He isnt that good a mover, backhand and return of serve arent great, he isnt a natural volleyer which is important since he isnt a great defender or rallyer so has to end some points up there. Great serve and forehand for sure.

Aussie: Wawrinka or Djokovic...possibly Murray after being battered for 2 years in the finals in a row...
French: Nadal, Thiem, Stan, or Djokovic.
Wimby: Federer, Djokovic, or Murray.
US: Stan, Djokovic, Nishikori, or...hehe...an outsider?

I have no idea what I'm doing with my life...

I think he just needs discipline. If he can really focus on his fitness and attitude, things might fall into place for him. Because those are the things that are holding him back the most IMO. Now I'm not saying he'll be a GOAT candidate or something, but I think he does have slam-winning potential.

hehe, you might benefit from making clear choices, which in this particular case may be pointless. ;)

I can see Nole winning 3, but also winning 0. Could be an interesting year.

I hope this is the year nishikori can win a slam. He deserves it.

Yes - Delpo and Nishikori are really due to win a slam in 2017, or at least one of them will, pretty sure on that.

Then if you add the given that Stan will win one slam next year, that means just one or two are left for Djokovic. Or someone else.

I personally doubt 0, but I agree it's possible a wide variety of outcomes with him. Not sure what to expect, which makes for an interesting year.

FO: Nadal and Sharapova ;) (if she was allowed back). Halep otherwise.

Still can't see a new slam champion on the mens side.

Yeah but the chance that he slumps and others improve is probably as high as it has been since 2011. I can even see 4 different slam winners happening
