Predict the next 5 slams

till Clarky21 says Djokovic will win next 5 slams while using a dumb made up name for the world #1.

Fed wins two slams and the olympic gold? Man, that would be amazing if he could pull that off.

I think...

FO: Djokovic d. Nadal
Wimbledon: Federer d. Djokovic (I think Fed will be #2 after the FO and might get lucky with Rafa on Djoker's half)
US Open: Murray d. Djokovic

Olympics: Djokovic d. Murray

Djokovic and Nadal are the only real contenders, Fed and murray have a shot though. Really hoping Murray finally gets a slam

FO: Nadal def Djokovic
Wimb: Djokovic def Fed
US Open: Djokovic def Murray
AO: Djokovic def Murray

Most realistic. I realise I'm giving too much to Murray, so perhaps it should be Djokovic beating Nadal instead of him.

Fed is done. 16 is the most he'll get. Give it up already. If he gets beaten by Tsonga at Wimbledon, how could he ever beat Nadal or Djokovic?

Olympic tennis is not a slam. It is a glorified exhibition that only Nadal cares about.

Djokovic will complete the 1 3/4th calendar slam in Jan. 2013.

I have a hunch that somebody outside the top 4 will win a slam this year, though I can't say right now who.

Here are my slam horoscopes:

French - Djokovic will win at least one more slam this year, I'm going to say French. If he beats Nadal along the way, I don't think Rafa will win any slams this year. He will win the French next year however.

Wimbledon - This is where I think somebody outside the top 4 has the highest chance of breaking through. I'm gonna say Raonic (Roddick/Murray would be sweet 8-)). Sorry, I don't think Fed is winning this.

Olympics - Murray (a la Mecir). I want him to win a slam this year damnit, but AO was his best chance.

US Open - Federer (a la Sampras...except he'll stick around probably another few years, but I don't think he'll end up with more than 18 slams).

Australian Open - Pretty sure Djokovic will own this tournament from now on. I see Rafa picking up 1 more here before he retires though.

The slam winners will all depend on the rankings and whether Fed can get to #2. If Fed stays at #3 or drops to 4, he won't win any slams.

I think it would be better for Fed having Andy at No. 2 than being at No. 2 himself because in the latter situation he'd still have a 50 percent chance of meeting Rafa in the semis (a little more or less, depending on which conspiracy theories one might subscribe to).

On the other hand, if Rafa and Roger were ranked No. 3 and 4 they could only meet each other in the final. This is a scenario that gives Fed a decent shot at facing Murray (or whoever beats Murray) in a semi. His best shot is not having to do Rafa-Novak back-to-back (and even better if they wear each other down in the semis).

The Top 2-4 rankings are fairly close, so you could make a case for any of them being No. 2 in a couple of months. And if one of those three steals a slam from Novak, it could be the boost needed to take over No. 1.

I predict that the next 5 slams will be:

Roland Garros
The Championships, Wimbledon
The United States Open
The Australian Open
Roland Garros again

I dunno, I think the orbit of Roland Garros will intersect that of the Australian Open next year.

Hmmm, I figured it was a trick question and the reason it was five instead of four was because somebody was trying to add in the "Cincy Slam." In that case, I'd go ...

RG: Novak defeats Nadal and gets a career slam, while Nadal gets a career-ending knee injury in the fifth set after nine hours as they try to break Isner-Mahut's Wimbledon record for the longest match.

Wimbledon: Fed defeats Murray, setting the stage for an Olympic medal win on the same surface weeks later, also against Murray — allowing a rare double humiliation of Murray on home soil.

Cinci: Fed defeats Murray. Why not a humiliation in the U.S. just for variety?

U.S. Open: Fed saves two match points to defeat Novak.

Australian Open: Novak pays Fed back with a straight-sets AO defeat.

(If Cinci wasn't intended as the fifth slam, I'll go with Fed beating Novak at the French to get his second career slam, while Rafa falls to Esther Vergeer in a six-hour wheelchair exhibition match.)

I can go with this. :)

And we have another one. Stay klassy, dude.

Yeah good point. I just don't see Murray being consistent enough to overtake Nadal. Even Fed at this stage now is a better prospect for that.

I'm assuming she must be 12 or early teens to keep all of this up for this long.

Given that she posts late on Saturday night and then early on Sunday morning there is no way she is 12. Plus she sounds way too bitter to be a 12 year old. She probably an angry menopausing housewife.

I really hope Federer can win another slam. Hopefully Wimbledon since that would make it most likely that he gets #1 back for a while. Olympics gold would be nice but mostly as an FU to *********s/Fed haters. I don't care about Olympics that much.

How is that?

Nole will win most of them. That's the easiest thing to predict.

FO: No.1vak takes out Rafa in 4 (Rog loses to Rafa in 5 in the semis)
WI: Fed, now #2, beats Novak in 4 sets (Milos gets to the semis losing to Fed, Rafa falls to Novak)
Oly: Some young gun wins (Dimitrov, Raonic, or some random young guy) or Fed achieves his goal.
USO: Novak shows why he's novak, beating Murray in the finals (nole gets through semis by saving 2 match points against Fed in set 5, one with a one in a million tweener shot as a return, and one as a shank from Fed)
AO 2013: world over, doesn't matter
FO 2013: See AO 2013

(From OLY- FO 2013 is more of a joke, the world won't be ending, and this time in the USO Fed won't blow 2 MPs!!)

I'm a little hopeful for Fed, but a guy can Hope, right?

FO: Federer d. Nadal
W: Federer d. Murray
Olympics: Federer d. Nadal
US Open: Federer d. Nadal
AO: Murray d. Nadal

How is that?

Because at Wimbledon Fed only defends Q and he would gain tons of points while Novak would lose tons. At FO Fed has F points to defend and Novak has S so if Fed beats Novak in a final at FO it's great but not as devastating as beating him at Wimbledon. Of course Fed also needs to defend his FO points to get to number 1.

2012 FO : Djokovic beats Nadal
2012 Wimbledon : Nadal beats Federer
2012 US Open : Federer beats Murray
2013 is too far away

Just no.

Fed will be lucky to get to a slam final from this point forward. Not reaching the semis in Wimby this year is a very real possibility.

OK, I'll play.

2012

RG: Nadal def. Djokovic in 5.
Wimbledon: Federer def. Murray in 5.
US Open: Murray def. Federer in 4.

2013

AO: Djokovic wins it.
RG: Nadal wins it.

2012

Roland Garros: Nadal def. Federer (I think Federer will beat Novak in the semis again)

US Open: Federer def. Nadal

Ummmm....you mind explaining this? I think it's safe to say that Djoker & Nadal will still be No. 1 & 2 by Wimbledon, so are you saying that Fed is going to beat Nadal in the semis?

RG: Federer or Nadal
Wimbledon: Djokovic
USO: Djokovic
AO: Djokovic
RG: Djokovic

Djokovic is winning 4 of the next 5 slams. He's won 4 of the past 5 slams. He is the man to beat until proven otherwise. As long as he keeps winning those 5 setters like USO SF, AO SF and final nothing will change. He will keep winning most of the slams.

Yes, either that will happen or someone will take out Rafa before the semis. It totally depends on his draw, but I can see a big hitter like Isner, Raonic or Tsonga taking him out at Wimbledon.

* Djokovic and Murray to divide the slams between them.
* Rafa not to reach a slam final again.
* Federer to win the Olympics.
* Ferrer to win his first Masters in 2012.
* And Florian MAYER to defend his Bucharest title.

The first two suggest that we won't be seeing any more 6 hour finals any longer, perhaps not even any 4 or 5 set finals.
Anyway, where does Berdych stand in the grand scheme of things ?
