Predict the slam winners for the next 3 years

So you're saying it is 100% guaranteed that Nadal will win majors in 2014? It is completely out of the realm of possibility for him to not win any? Do you know something we don't?

I'm sorry to have offended your false "God" on his forum!

Just to say thank you.

Please stop this trolling. My prediction is perfectly reasonable. If it does not align with your fantasies aboit Nadal it is not my problem. Omega and I are entitled to our opinions and it does not have to be Nadal worshiping. So please stop with this nonsense. Nadal fans are so unbearable

I explained my reasoning in several threads. Nadal has never managed two multislam seasons in a row. And he will not able to do that now when he is older. His knees will give in. He will not win more than 1 slam in 2014, probably 0 since he is due to have slamless season after 9 years. After that he will be too old for another big comeback. So it is perfectly reasonable to predict that Nadal will finish his career with 114-15 slams, no matter how unlikely this looks to delusional NAdal fans from their high horse.

Djokovic on the other hand is due to have another exceptional season. Check the pattern I explained in couple of threads, I will not bother to repeat it again here. So everything is aligning for him. Also not to forget Serbia will likely win the DC this year like in 2010.

I could just like you call blatant trolling all these posters who predict Nadal will win AO after three years of Djokovic's absolute dominance, but I will not since I am not a tool like you and allow for different opinion.

So no bias on my part, just facts and arguments. It is not trolling if you don't agree with someones opinion and not everyone has to worship your favorite player.

So please stop with this utter nonsense and start respecting that some people have different opinion and maybe see thing differently than you.

Thank you.

You say Djokovic will win 7 out of the next 10 slams and Nadal will won only 1 more for the rest of his career, and then say that there's no bias on your part? You are just delusional, and I don't want to argue with a biased troll, so bye.

Nothing is ever 100%. But to predict he will only win 1 more slam in his career but Djokovic will win 7 more? Especially after what happened this year? If you don't understand how that's biased trolling, then you might be a biased troll yourself.

No, trolling is what you do here now. Not posting my opinion on the topic. As I said, please stop with this nonsense. You can't accept that someone has different opinion than you, so please stop commenting and trolling about my posts.

Thank you.

I explained my reasoning and arguments and why I think that way. All you do is throwing insults at me.

So to use 5555's words: you lose the argument.

Please keep your word and don't comment my posts any more since you are obviously incapable of having reasonable discussion backed with arguments.

Thank you.

You have absolutely no credible argument. And that's why no one aside from other Djokovic trolls takes you seriously.

My arguments are absolutely credible and reasonable. They do not align with Nadal's fans fantasies, but that does not make them "not credible".

Also please do not call Nadal's trolls "everyone". They are multiplying like rabbits on this board indeed, but will never be "everyone". There are still many people on this board who see the world as it is, and not through "Nadal is GOAT" colored glasses. So don't pretend that you speak for "everyone".

2014:

AO final - Wawrinka def Djokovic 2-6, 7-5, 7-6 (5), 6-1

FO final - Del Potro def Nadal 6-4, 7-6 (11), 1-6, 2-6, 8-6

Wimbledon final - Berdych def Federer 7-6 (4), 4-6, 5-7, 6-4, 9-7

US Open final - Isner def Djokovic 5-7, 6-2, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4

2014 the year of the Underdogs!

Djokovic on the other hand is due to have another exceptional season.

I think this is a reasonable prediction. For example, McEnroe had exceptional season in 1981, then he declined in 1982 and 1983, but in 1984 he had one greatest seasons in history.

Thanks. Of course it is a reasonable prediction. I explained it already in another thread:

Yes. It is clear now that 2104 is shaping to be similar to 2011. Also it is clear that Nadal is incapable or maintaining exceptional form and winning multiple slams for two consecutive seasons.

So here is the pattern:
2009 - After having a great previous year ( 2008 ), Djokovic plays a sub-par season below expectations. Nadal misses big part of the season due to injury.
2012 - After having a great previous year ( 2011 ), Djokovic plays a sub-par season below expectations. Nadal misses big part of the season due to injury.

2010 - Djokovic plays another sub-par season below expectations, but at the end he wins the DC which gives him great confidence. Nadal has exceptional season after coming back from injury, winning everything everywhere.
2013 - Djokovic plays another sub-par season below expectations, but at the end he wins the DC which gives him great confidence. Nadal has exceptional season after coming back from injury, winning everything everywhere.

2011 - Djokovic 2.0 makes an appearance and has GOAT season. Nadal's level drops from previous exceptional season.
2014 - ?????

Be afraid, be very afraid - Djokovic 2.1 is coming to a tennis court near you in 2014.

Nothing is ever 100%. But to predict he will only win 1 more slam in his career but Djokovic will win 7 more? Especially after what happened this year? If you don't understand how that's biased trolling, then you might be a biased troll yourself.

Oh yeah because Nadal has never had an amazing season followed by a bad season before

If you don't think it's possible for the pattern to repeat especially because it's happened twice before, then you must be biased too.

LOL Nadal is gonna fight tooth and nail to surpass Federer in the slam count. Whether he does it or not is another thing but if you've followed his career for years you'd know he's gonna keep trying.

When did I say he's going to stop trying? :-?

all the pros out there are trying to win, not just him...Or at least one would hope so...Nobody goes in to a match saying I don't want to win today...I don't want to break this record...not sure what your point is.

Because maybe you predicted just one more slam for Rafa in the next three years? If he's healthy, he can win a few more slams.

So? He can also not win any slams next three years. How can you say he is going to win and there is no possibility of him not winning any? What if a new player emerges and kicks everyones arse?

People have different opinions...Everyone doesn't think Nadal is a 'god".

We are 2/3 of the way there, but how has everyone done? (men's side only)

I know this has virtually no chance of being right but pick the slam winners for both men and women for the next 3 years. This will be a fun thread to bring back in 3 years and see who somehow got clossts and I will bookmark it and do that for everyone in 3 years time. You can also pick "current junior player" or "current up and comer on tour" in some places if you wish. Here would be mine:

2014 Australian Open- Rafael Nadal
2014 French Open- Rafael Nadal
2014 Wimbledon- Andy Murray
2014 U.S Open- Rafael Nadal
2015 Australian Open- Andy Murray
2015 French Open- Rafael Nadal (ties the record)

2015 U.S Open- Novak Djokovic

I honestly can't see anyone outside of those 3 winning a slam in the next 3 years, unless Janowicz goes crazy this offseason and develops a lot this next season. I could see him getting one in 2015 or 2016, but again, it's unlikely. Federer could get one more if he started doping, that's the only way I could see him getting any more.

Djokovic and Nadal are just too good. Djokovic had an OFF year and still made 3 GS finals, that's nuts. Nadal we know is having a historic season, he'll be up there for 3 more years. Murray slipped up recently, but he'll be strong next season.

Djokovic wins 2 of the next 3 Wimbledons? Not a chance. He probably wont even win 1 more, he is the poorest grass player to win Wimbledon in the Open Era already. Even if Nadal continues to stink on grass like he has lately and Federer is done Murray will dominate there in the next few years then. Djokovic cant touch Murray on grass unless he blows up completely, otherwise all their grass matches will look like the Olympics and this years Wimbledon.
I know, right?

In the end the forecasts seem to be a mix of wishful thinking and simply voting for whoever was dominating at the time.

Almost no one saw Nadal's collapse (will this repeat itself with Nole next year?). No one saw Nole's dominance. And way too much faith in Murray.

Always interesting these threads. Certainly people laughing at the idea of Nadal only winning one more slam seem to have egg on their faces. But it just goes to show how hard these things are to predict.

You say Djokovic will win 7 out of the next 10 slams and Nadal will won only 1 more for the rest of his career, and then say that there's no bias on your part? You are just delusional, and I don't want to argue with a biased troll, so bye.

Djoker won 4 of the next 8 and Nadal only won one so he's not a million miles away.

Lesson of this thread is that just because a player plays well one year doesn't mean he's going to do a CYGS the next year. Rafa kicked ass 2013 then won only one more slam, Djokovic destroyed 2015 and will probably have an average or maybe even a poor 2016.

Nothing is ever 100%. But to predict he will only win 1 more slam in his career but Djokovic will win 7 more? Especially after what happened this year? If you don't understand how that's biased trolling, then you might be a biased troll yourself.

Funny enough that could end up being exactly what happens. Since that post 4 more slams for Djokovic, 1 more for Nadal. Nadal might well never win another, and I see Djokovic winning atleast another 3 no problem.

Don't really follow women's tennis anymore, so I'll stick to the men's side:

2014 Australian Open-Nadal
2014 French Open-Nadal
2014 Wimbledon-Nadal
2014 US Open - Federer (changed my mind on the calendar slam...I think Federer has one last magical run in him here to block Nadal and the debate will rage for the rest of history)

2015 Australian Open - Djokovic
2015 French Open - Djokovic
2015 Wimbledon - Murray
2015 US Open - Murray

2016 Australian Open - Murray
2016 French Open - Nadal (farewell)
2016 Wimbledon - Dimitrov (ah, what the heck)
2016 US Open - Djokovic

Federer 18 slams, Nadal 17...let the debates commence.

Please stop this trolling. My prediction is perfectly reasonable. If it does not align with your fantasies about Nadal it is not my problem.

He will not win more than 1 slam in 2014, probably 0 since he is due to have a slamless season after 9 years. After that he will be too old for another big comeback. So it is perfectly reasonable to predict that Nadal will finish his career with 14-15 slams, no matter how unlikely this looks to delusional Nadal fans from their high horse.

HAHAHAHAHA,this is unbelieveble.:D:D:D:D
