Just a little fun idea, predict the top 10 in 2020 so we can bump this in 2 years time and laugh at how dumb we were.

I’ll be the first to make myself look stupid (or genius)
1. Nadal (much to my disliking, I think Nadal can dominate the rankings for a long time)
2. Chung
3. Zverev (he will never be no.1, I tell myself this every night so I can sleep peacefully)
4. Dimitrov
5. Shapovalov
6. Thiem
7. Coric
8. Goffin
9. Rublev
10. Edmund

Didn’t include Fedr because he could be retired by 2020. :(

I know this is very premature and it’s almost impossible to predict but that makes it all the more fun. :D

So...this thread isn’t doing so well.

Maybe I’m the only person brave enough to potentially make a fool out of myself?:D

Wait this is only in two years? Hmm. Shapovalov won't be top ten by then. Also I forgot Coric. And maybe Kyrgios and Delpo.

Your lists made me effing sick. Don’t even wanna imagine it will get this ugly in two years

1. Federer
2. Nadal
3. Djokovic
4. Murray
5. Del Potro
6. Shapovalov
7. Wawrinka
8. Gasquet
9. Karlovic
10. Chung

There’s still hope for something like this if you’re optimistic enough :D

...who am I kidding, one can only dream :(

I think Zverev could struggle to reach the top and dominate..He doesnt move as well as some of the other top players. Tall and gangly.. maybe im wrong. Still has the potential to win big tournaments but i think he could get exposed unless he improves his movement.. (Not sure how he does that)

1.Federer
2.Dimi
3.Nadal
4.Zverev
5.Thiem
6.Murray
7.Chung
8.Shapo
9.Wawrinka
10.Cilic
Wawrinka? That’s brave! I think he’ll be retired by the end of the year but hopefully I’m wrong.

Do i have to put them a ranking order? I feel like none of them will deserve #1 lol but ok i would say

1) Zverev
2) Cilic
3) Pouille
4) Thiem
5) Goffin
6) Chung
7) Nadal
8) Dimitrov
9) Murray
10) Edmund

Well I put 39 year old man to lead the rankings so yeah it is brave prediction. If I havent gotten anything right feel free to bump it in 2020 and mock me.
I’ve got Edmund as a top 10 player so I have a feeling I’ll be the one mocked. :D

1) Zverev

I feel like i'm letting you down by making a post you don't agree with but in all honesty, if Federer is still in the top 10 in 2 years then i might just start watching darts for a living and i feel like Nadal won't make it 2 years. That leaves him as the best player left and as much as i want to believe Murray/Djokovic will come back to full form, i don't think they will.

On the bright-side. At least Zverev has watchable tennis.

Nah you’re not letting me down man. :D

I don’t like Zverev at all but I welcome his grand total of 5 fans to flood my thread. :D

I wouldn't go so far as to say i'm a fan of his. He's just the best hopes i have for watchable tennis when the Big 4 retire lol
Shapo plays much better tennis than Zverev imo.

I don’t think Shapo will ever be on Fed’s level but his tennis is similar, very pretty to watch.

1. Shapovalov
2. Nadal
3. Zverev
4. Chung
5. Federer
6. Del Potro
7. Djokovic
8. Murray
9. Coric
10. Kachanov
I wouldn’t mind this tbh.

All of the big 4 being in the top 10 would be a delight. :)

Hyper unrealistic but also realistic.....these days it's about who's left to play rather than who's the best.

Why do some Federer fans dislike Zverev so much but seem to like the bad boy of tennis, Kyrgios?

I do think Zverev will be number 1 when Federer and Nadal fade away.
Krygios- That idiot makes me chuckle.

Zverev- That arrogant little (6'6'') makes me want to beat that smirk out of his face.

These are fun.

1. Chung
2. Zverev
3. Shapovalov
4. Federer
5. Pouille
6. Schwartzman
7. Rublev
8. Cilic
9. Edmund
10. Goffin

12. Khachanov

15. Tiafoe

25. Tsitsipas

Year 2020
1. Kyrgios
2. Dimitrov
3. Chung
4. Murray
5. Del Potro
6. Cilic
7. Zverev Jr
8. Rublev
9. Thiem
10. Karlovic

Federer only played Wimbledon that year and won it for the 10th time. Sadly he announced his retirement in his press conference after the tournament.

1. Del Potro
2. Cilic
3. Zverev
4. Kyrgios
5. Dimitrov
6. Cheung
7. Shapovalov
8. Coric
9. Nadal
10. Djokovic

With Fed retired and Djoker and Nadal in decline (at ages 33 and 34 respectively) I would excpect Cilic and Delpo (31 years of age) to be there ore there abouts when it comes to the business end of AO, Wimby & USO. I can see RG being a scrap between the entire top 10 with Thiem choking because he is finally the favourite and going out early. Nadal & Djoker to go out in the semis in two epic matches (the last competitive stand at RG for both of them) to two young guns (Coric & Cheung for example).

I will not predict rankings but who will be in it and what they would have done by end of 2020:

Zverev would have won 1 slam and a couple of more masters.

Dimitrov too would have won a slam and could end up being two slam champion by the end of the year.He would be the biggest beneficiary of big 4 being lesser.

Theim would have a RG to his name.A couple clay masters too.

Nadal will be still chasing the slam record and would be about 3 away to tie it.He would have won 1 more RG and another slam by then. But he won't tie it

Murray will return to a decent form and take a Wimbledon and an Australiana open*

Djokovic will have a great comeback story but not a comeback to his dominating best and win two more slams.

One of Cilic /Delpo/Stan will win another slam most.
The one who would win the slam would be
in the top 10
Kyrgios might be in top 10

Goffin would have reached a slam final.

Coric would be a strong competitor but will fail in Sfs. and finals of 2-3 slams.

Fed would be retired but would have won one more slam

* A fan can dream.
