Prediction :- Alexander Zverev will beat Rafael Nadal at 2019 Roland Garros

He's an excellent player & clay is his best surface so far. Though he's been in mini slump so far this season, I'm witnessing another big leap forward for the nextgen posterboy. Sascha is improving at FO year after year, and this year he will beat the 2 times defending champion, 11 times trophy holder, king of clay, Rafael Nadal at his most successful slam. Zverev's game is perfectly built to tackle big players. His cross court backhand is extremely good to deal with Nadal's topspinning bombs and redirect them accordingly to confuse the Spaniard. Alexander Zverev Jr. Also has a powerful serve, which is unreadable when he's in zone. His FH is no liability either and because of his height, the Rafa moonballing won't be effective against Sascha.

I think his presence in Geneva (and every single week at an event for the European clay season) smacks of true desperation. Zverev going out early.

You were making such a big deal of Nadal's win over Nole at Rome. Another poster replied that Djokovic was only 60%, and you replied that a 100% Zverev wouldn't take a set off a 60% Djokovic. Now that you've been proven wrong, you're changing the criteria from Rome to Roland Garros.

Speak for yourself. Zverev has shown he can close out big matches against the Big-3. He simply hasn't yet given himself the opportunity at a slam.

That's possible, as this has been Zverev's issue at the slams. And yes, Zverev hasn't played good tennis in a long time, but I'm hoping it's a blessing in disguise for him. He played excellent tennis in 2017 and (especially) 2018 heading into RG, and it didn't help. Perhaps playing awful tennis heading into RG will.
