Prediction: Wimbledon 2015 will be Federer's last slam.

An epic 5 setter with Nadal will banish the demons of 08 and he'll win his last ever match- the final of Wimbledon 2015. He doesn't want Olympics. That's how I'm calling it, what do y'all think? I think it's becoming increasingly clear Fed doesn't have the battery anymore

He's playing through Rio. He wants that gold medal. I know he won't get it, but damned if he won't try. One bad loss to a good player doesn't mean fed doesn't have the battery anymore.

I think he will be done end of 2014. Depends on his endorsement deal contracts though as much as anything imo.

Murray is a bigger threat than Nadal on grass in recent times. But he would definitely play till Rio.

That is a great point. He will retire when his sponsors tell him he doesn't appeal to the audience any more to justify what they are paying him. I also think sponsors would want to be associated with a younger player on the rise, even one with poor results, than an old player in decline.

Sponsors will always be there for Fed. Federer has become an icon already for tennis, regardless of age or whether he is playing well or not, his legacy is already there and he is one of the best ways of promoting the sport.

Federer showed today that he is slipping from the first tier of players. He is now hovering in Ferrer's area, between Tier 1 and Tier 2 seemingly, vulnerable to any player on any given day but also able to beat them all.

Ferrer can't beat any of the Top 4 though.

Fed fans are just...

When you guys aren't voting and starting threads predicting him to win matches / tournaments he has little to no chance of winning, you're talking about how he should retire.
