Pressure for Roger

There's no doubt that Roger probably had the most pressure on him at Roland Garros this after once Rafa was out of the tournament.

Wimbledon probably wasn't anywhere near as much but there was still a good bit due to going for 15 and no Rafa again.

He said after he won RG that he could play freely and without pressure and that is likely true - until/unless he can pull out another title at the U.S. Open.

If (emphasis on IF) he can win at Flushing Meadows, he will again have an enormous amount of pressure on him in Australia in 2010 to complete a Grand Slam (Roger Slam I guess).

Knowing that IF he can get this far, and knowing this will likely be the last chance in his career to attempt this (similar to RG), do you guys think the pressure will be more or less than he had this year at the French?

I seriously doubt he gives a crap about the Roger Slam. There can't be very much pressure at this point.

In my opinion, I think that after Federer pulled of his 15th slam at Wimbledon, he will not feel the same pressure as he did at RG and the Wimbledon final. Roland Garros was massive, and I also felt that the minute Pete Sampras entered Centre Court on sunday, Federer maybe got a little thight. But it´s all history now, and I don´t really think he will have this pressure against him ever again..

Really? I think he's acutely aware of the records and accomplishments out there and realizes that a grand slam (calendar or non) is one of the last great things he has yet to accomplish.
