Pressure

Firstly i just wanted to know what situations you feel under the most pressure in. i didnt make a poll cos long options)

do you feel most under pressure:

1) When trying to serve out a set, knowing that you are so close to a set that you have worked hard for but you could blow the chance

2) break point down - even more pressure is added if you then miss your first serve or if you are playing an opponent that never loses serve and you have to hold your own

3) break point up against a really good server when you know break points are very rare and you must take your chances

4) match point down - especially in a tight match (often in a lop sided match you may have given up by then anyway)

5) All the way through a tiebreak, when you wont get away with any poor errors as single points are even more important

Also, i want to know if you have any tips on how to play well through the pressure

But no matter what the situation I don't try to think of the situation but what kind of serve/return I want to execute and take a couple deep breaths and focus in on my racket strings and then focus on the ball. This usually keeps me relaxed and I'm able to let my body do the stroking instead of my mind.

Tip: Read "Inner game of tennis", it helped me a lot.
