@J011yroger How would you compare the Graphene 360 Prestige MP and the Yonex Ezone 100 (2020)? I know that is probably a weird comparison, but I have one of each coming to play around with...lol

Babolat is going to be out of business on account of the big sick.

J
thanks for that, I needed a good laugh. Don't get me wrong, I am no fan of Babolat rackets. But I have to say, if every other manufacturer managed their business like Babolat.....well wow, just wow. Babolat not so long ago, made natural gut, a few multis and synthetic gut (as a throwaway). They saw the decline in natural gut coming with the rise of Guga Kuerten and turned their business on a dime. They introduced rackets and polys and lead the world now....

Just incredible really.

one babolot i liked is the aero storm gt tour. The PD was easy to play with but too stiff for my shoulder. APD just didn't work with me. I felt disconnected.

Okay back in track. Before grip and silicone, balance and weight was off. Added 2g at 12. Balance and static weight seems to be matched.

-i like the HL balance, 11pts HL and a big flare buttcap is what i shoot for!! (y)
-is the 327oz correct???, should it be 327g instead??

Yes, I liked it very much. This one has a little extra zip, you get more result out of a 50% swing. I feel like this version serves better and is a bit more connected.

J
Since you used a version of Perstige MP fulltime and the PT57A is coming out, are you going to try it before making a decision?

Strung a couple up with gut and ALU since I'm only hitting a little bit these days, might as well live it up.

J011y, curious time what you “go-to” racquet is if you had one match to play right now?

Curious if anyone has found a set of black CAPs to fit the Graphene 360+ Prestige MP? I know it is a new head mold, but I never under-estimate the talent on TT

Has anyone given the Prestige Mid 360+ the black grommet treatment? Nothing has changed with this racquet’s mold from the previous versions, right?

I haven't played it yet, do you think @TW Staff would want me to do a review?

J
yeah sure. why not.
but not just the review.. im asking in terms of it being a supposed reissue of a pro stock frame. the beloved PT57A.
thats what it was initially touted as being. so where does it stack up in that regard. as this one is made in China.. and has a 65ra.. can it really be considered a pro stock reissue?
as far as the specs go. i have to say it looks amazing. i would think any Prestige fan would want one of these.
20mm thin beam that will make even a wilson blade seem like a clunky frame. . 65 ra.. just stiff enough for the modern game. and 12.1 oz 6 pt hl sounds like a great weight distribution..
enough for a heavy hit ball on groundies. just whippy enough. and wont need lead.

On my RDC machine I get 63RA strung with a leather grip. You won’t need any lead. My specs that I measured with the synthetic grip that came with the racquet UNSTRUNG is:
Weight 11.4 oz
Balance 32cm
Swing weight 304

HEAD PT57E has the same 65 RA and has been and is a quiet popular pro stock version of Prestige.
And RA is not the holy grail. It is only measured at one point. But a racquet is not only flexing and twisting in one point. A racquet can be stiff or flexible in this particular RA point but can be the other way around in all other areas of the frame.

It looks like a sweet racquet (PT2.0), if you can weild it. Those cap grommets add a little more weight. I haven’t bought one yet, but if I did, I might try and switch out the grommets for Radical grommets (non-capped).

Would adding leather be butchering it? BC this needs leather
Not at all. That’s the one mod that would be for this frame as it is not that headlight. So adding leather will take you to about 12.8 oz strung w over grip. And around 8 points head light Most purists would say bingo on that front

gonna string up the mid and hit against a parking lot wall today/tomorrow. most likely synthetic gut to get an honest feel for the racquet. Also i usually don't mod till after a few times at the court but was bored. I know that I would be putting leather on it anyways. Matched with some lead at 12 on the racquet that was lighter and off balance. And why not...3 g silicone.

been hitting the wall a few times this week and using a different racquet each time that still has string in it. So far
Prince Ignite 95
Head Radical Bumblebee MP
Prince POG OS
Pro Kennex Graphite Composite Mid

Next up testing the two Blades that have a different shaped hairpin, Prestige Mid 360, six.one 95, Prestige MG Mid, Mizuno Turbo Pro

I’d like to retract my earlier comment about it looking like a hot pocket, I’ve got an itch for this and other Head racquets now lol. I’m going to demo when this is all over.

btw are we talking the 93 or the 98? Or95?
