Prestige S

I had a chance to rally a bit with my friends Youtek IG Prestige S yesterday... Yuck.
I was expecting a lighter version of Pro Tour 280, unfortunately nowhere near... The racquet was pingy/metallic (with a W dampener), felt much lighter and less SW then my "go to" O3 White. Also felt stiffer and less plush.
Ok, the strings were syngut in high 50s (estimate) vs. my X-Code at 55 / poly 45, in the White. But still...

I just looked at the specs and pics -could it actually be from Radical MP mold, just drilled for 16x19 instead of 18x20?

VSB: Since you're one of the resident HEAD insiders, do you have any insight about the Prestige S, design spec, where it's going in the next iteration? Besides what's commonly known?

I know someone here referred to it as an Instinct Pro...it does share a triangular throat cross-section with the Instinct line.

Just curious. Thanks in advance.

Come to think of it, the feel reminded me of Technifibre 295 that I demoed last summer. Except that TF sucked even more...

Really interested in this also, such a great frame for my lots of control and spin just the way I liked it, please let us know about the next iteration. thanks a lot

Well the nice flex and light weight/SW make it a surprisingly apt platform racket for advanced players with no access to pro stocks

I've got a pair of S frames that I use when I'm craving a hit with a prestige, and they are much better on my elbow.

I have never been a fan of 18x20 patterns, and this is the most arm-friendly prestige option currently on the market.

It fits the bill for players who have arm problems and like a low SW and arm-friendly stick

* Can't stand the feel of Tec frames! On paper that stick is beautiful

26.75

It's a fine racquet. For me, perfect weight and flexibility. It's low powered, so you can swing with confidence and keep the ball in. My only complaint is that I'm breaking full poly in just a couple hours where my 18x20 frames I rarely break before I cut it out. The other issue is that my frame is short. Significantly shorter than my MG Radical. It measures 26.75 at the head guard and my radical measures 27.25.

^^^ Well, it's a thinner, constant beam, compared to the Instincts, which are wider/thicker and taper. Also, it doesn't feel as muted, pillow-y like the Instincts do. But it has the triangular shaft profile like the Instincts.

Kind of a hybrid, of sorts, I guess.

It's an odd combo; bought S after preferring it over Instinct.
Definitely feels nothing like traditional Prestige, more like Radical.
