Previous APD users...what did u switch to?

This is for those who've used the APD but for some reason (maybe too stiff, powerful etc.) didn't like it. What racket did u switch to and what improvements did you notice?

wow, I switched to nblade from APD
demo it... seriously.
It fits your criteria perfectly, it's not too stiff and not too powerful.

I actually made a drastic switch to the flexpoint prestige but that was because I changed my game to all court with a lot of serve and volley.

nblade has too much SW for my taste

It's not super for volleys but give it a try if you are looking for a baseline stick, the sw definitely helps with groundstrokes especially for a light stick like the nblade. It hits solid.

ok..might try it..at the moment i have my eyes on tfight 335

nBlade is a sweet racquet... i am debating switching to it.

right now I use the Yonex RDS001 mid, but I used the APD in the past. the nBlade is sort of a compromise between those 2 I feel.

But I am giving myself a while to decide.. since the RDS is a great stick too. I just hit more winners with the nBlade or even APD.

I stopped using the APD because I used full poly with it and it had NO feel at all. I still loved the results (spin!) with it though, but it felt like a toy. The RDS is the opposite, much flatter balls and tons of feel, but when I borrowed an nBlade, all of a sudden I remembered how easy hitting winners was with an 11oz stick. FUN! so I will probably demo again around the time of Roland Garros.

I'll probably just add an nBlade and APDwCortex to my bag for an extended trial. I keep selling my racquets before to help pay for the next ones... and I should just keep a few around until I KNOW which one suits me best.

POWER or CONTROL... the eternal dilemma!

ya..i know what u mean

i switch from the apd to the lm prestige mid 1 year ago and now back to the apd again, i love it now, wish i didnt switch before, i switch to a lots of different racquets after the lm prestige mid, like yonex ti 80, pure drive, i prestige mid, rdx 500, tfight 325, pog longbody and now back to apd, hopefully i will not switch since i ve been using the apd for 4 months already and i usually switch about every 2 months

Switched to the Head Flexpoint Radical Tour. I like the feel better and I think it gives you more spin. It is also a 16x19 like the APD, but when you compare the two, the middle strings are actually spaced further apart on the Radical Tour, so it has a much more open string pattern where you hit the ball.

I'm going to sound like a total nblade lover, which I am... but for good reason.
Just trying to help, if the nblade doesn't work out for you, I'm not hurt. The stick is low powered but I'd like to note that I've been able to hit more winners with it because it is low powered so I can swing through the shot confidently without worry of hitting the fences so I actually gained power from using this racquet. Power and control come together... somewhat :)

However, the nblade is definitely not for everyone. I have a friend, she used my nblade briefly and she doesn't swing very aggressively and she instantly commented that my racquet has no feel. I have to admit, with my full poly BB ALU Power setup, the racquet lacks feel if I don't take a full swing and allow the ball to pocket but if you do... it works wonders.
