LOL .. Are you even serious? I know you're a fan, but to suggest current Wimbledon is low and skiddy is ridiculous.
It really isn't and the bounce is so untrue.

I repeat 11 slams on HC and a further 5 at Wimby.

Total tournament wins 81 and you cant believe he won anything on the surface you queried?

Versus better versions he is an underdog? USO 2011 Djokovic takes him to the cleaners and tears him a new a$$hole. Understatement of the century.

The problem with Hewitt is that he has no significant weapon to beat Djokovic over a BO5. Even against a mediocre Djokovic.

But then again you are the same guy that was wondering whether 06 Fed was beating 12 Murray, which is a laughable post altogther.
Didn’t peak 2012 Djokovic lose a set to one legged Hewitt at Australian open? Think peak Hewitt can do much better at the US, especially against weaker versions.

didn’t Gilles Simon take Djokovic to 5 sets at AO 2016 before he peaked against Fed and Murray?

No need.

abmk, tonylg, PilotPete, ThirdServe voted for Hewitt.

Everyone else, the non-delusionals, voted for Djokovic.
Loaded poll bro. Djokovic lost slam matches to murray Nishikori Chung Istomin. Prime Hewitt would have his chances vs a lesser version. Especially 2012 in the hurricane or 2014/2016/2017 for example.

Roddick def. would.
Roddick would be passed senselessly at the net. Serve wouldn’t be as effective against the best/2nd best returner of all time.

I see Roddick 03 Hard courts or 04 W beating a non 11/15 Djokovic but that’s it. Post 04 Roddick with a loopy forehand and exploitable backhand isn’t beating Djokovic anywhere in a slam though.

I voted Hewitt for the memes.

Serious reply (which your thread doesn't deserve): Obviously Djokovic, but Djokovic didn't always play prime-level throughout 2011-2016, and Fed didn't always play prime-level throughout 2004-2007 (he was a lot more consistent at keeping a high level though, whereas Djokovic kinda underperformed in 2012-2014).

Maybe if Hewitt actually had some notable weapons like 2012-13 Murray I could see him posing a threat to non-Peak Djokovic. Even an average Djokovic did everything better than prime Hewitt. Djokovic atleast redlined and smacked forehands in the second set of USO 2010 to beat a peaking Nadal in that set. Hewitt couldn’t do that.

USO 2013 he wasn’t consistent but to think a weapon less Hewitt beats prime Djokovic in a HC slam is laughable. He takes a set and makes another one close but that’s all I can picture there.

Please, cut the BS.

Djokovic does almost everything better than Murray (except for the volleys and the slice, but Hewitt was better at those as well in addition to being an amazing retriever with great speed) but he still lost several matches to him when not peak or even just a bit off from peak. I think the same should apply to Hewitt whose peak level genuinely isn't that far off from Murray's (it's consistency and being less prone to injuries that puts Muzz ahead).

Think of Hewitt as Ferrer x 5, without the propensity to roll over immediately for the top guys (a habit Nishikori has as well with his 2-5000 record, come to think of it; he does have the USO 2014 win where he did play fairly well, but Djokovic was not good at all). Taking more sets in AO 2012 than him while post-injuries could say something at least slightly significant.

H2H indicates otherwise.

Hewitt was more than capable at the net and rock solid overhead. He approached infinitely better and also battled harder, not needing to cheat when down.

I gave the edge to Djokovid because on slow high bouncing courts those glaring deficiencies don't matter, but it would give the edge to Hewitt on faster courts.

Alright so Hewitt doesn’t beat prime Djokovic at USO 10,12, 13, 14, 16? Agreed then.

Battled harder?Peak Djokovic was one of the best fighters ever

Prime Hewitt beats Djokovic at the USO in 10, 12 final, 13, 14 and 16.
Djokovic not top 3 at the USO achievements wise or level wise.
Deal with it.
Djokovic is a better player than Hewitt but nowhere near as mentally strong as Hewitt. Hewitt was beating prime Federer at times before injuries hit. Federer has never spoken of Djokovic in as glowing terms as hewitt.
You are spot on in your analysis. At USO Hewitt would beat Djokovic.

Prime Federer is 2004 onwards. When did he beat prime Federer? He was getting fed bagels by prime Federer in GS finals.

Hewitt got wins over 2003 Federer i think. Past 2003 Hewitt hip had given out.
Federer era was definitely harder than right now. The fact Nadal federer and djokovic are in top 4 still when all are way past their best is a sad indictment on the young players now. Only Thiem is the real deal. He is 27.

He did. But Federer wasn't even #1 to end 2003. Roddick was.
