Prince ATS Tour 98 vs Prince ATS 95?

I’m digging the ATS 98 a lot. Was wondering if anyone out there had hit it and the 95 a good bit? Wondering about the differences in the racquet. Such as control, sweet spot, and plow. Or any thing that comes to mind.
Thank you in advance!

I was considering switching to the 95 but the serve was lacking. Needs weight at the tip. More maneuverable and better control than the 98. Also higher launch angle

I liked the 98 but it's a bit chunky. I liked the high and low launch angle it can produce. Serves great too. Going to give it another try soon.

Thanks for the reply. I found the 98 maneuverable. But that’s probably because my previous racquet was pretty clunky. I’m a plow addict though. I’d have a hard time downgrading on the serve. It’s one of my favorite things about the 98.

I had the 95 and currently have the 98. If you feel like the 98 offers the right amount of control, I would not recommend the 95. On the other hand, if you find it a little too launchy but want something with a similar feel, the 95 would be worth a demo. The two are similar in terms of maneuverability if weighted similarly (My 98 had an unstrung SW of 288 and I added 2 grams to the top and 10 grams to the handle—I did not hit with it stock)

The 95 is more control-oriented/less launchy and feels a little sweeter on contact. I think the spin-friendliness is about a tie. The 95 has the edge in terms of comfort but not by much. The 98 is slightly more forgiving. I think both are great racquets, though I have found that my rebel 95s are the best fit for me.

What is your final static weight on 98? I want to use leather grip but afraid to be overspec with my overgrip (I always play with tacky OG). And imo stiff poly with low angle like Confidential will improve the ball shape if you feel it too launchy.

I had the ATS 98 and switched to the ATS 95. I find more control and consistency with the 95. The 98 has just a smidge more power but I found it to be launchy sometimes.

The 95 has better stability with off center hits and better feel.

I found it hard to land big serves in with the 98.

And is still easy to maneuver? I play doubles too and im higher static weight the balance is very sensitive (must be head light but not that light)
I tend to like balance around 31.5 to 32. My ats 98 ended up around 31.7. I found it maneuverable enough, but I am used to swinging a rebel 95 with a higher swingweight, so ymmv.
