Prince Beast 100 vs Warrior 100 Pro

I am currently using the Prince Warrior 100 Pro(no longer available) and the Beast 100 specs appear to be an almost identical racquet. Do those spec similarities carry over to the way they play? Any differences that stand out?
The Textreme Warrior 100 looked close but the 16 x 18 string pattern killed any interest for me. Thanks for your comments

d wayne,

I would say the Beast 100 is a great update/upgrade to the Warrior 100 Pro. It will offer a larger sweet spot, increased comfort and better overall feel. The rest of the characteristics will be pretty similar.

Thanks,
Brittany, TW

Babolix,

I would say they play pretty similarly. Easy access to power, spin and depth with a great feel. The main difference would be the string pattern of the 16x18 versus 16x19 but even then it was just a small adjustment.

Thanks,

I think I'll buy the 100 but the 2 98 (o3 and not) seem to be great too !
Brittany what have you felt this 3 beast sticks ? ;)
(100, O3 98, and 98) Could you compare it ?

Brittany, in the Textreme Beast 100 video review, you mentioned slight lack of precision at times. So did Jason and Tiffani. Did you guys notice this in the previous version of Textreme Warrior 100? Thanks.

Yes, they said the textreme warrior was erraitic at time. So I think this beast 100 is just an up date of the warrior.

One more question : if we give the beast 100 a 100% power, what % would be the 98 and the 98 O3 in comparison ?

FV_Br,

Which multifilament were you using? And have you used multifilament strings in the past?

Most multifilament strings move in 16x19 string patterns but I can give you a couple options that might decrease the movement.

Hi Brittany, I have being using multishow in the last two years, I am used to the movement, today I will try rip control to see if it is better, but comparing Wilson sensation on these two frames, movement in Beast is like 3x worst than Ezone.

FV_Br,

Another option could be Tecnifibre NRG2 or you could look into possible a hybrid.

Finally picked up a Beast to go with my 2 Warrior Pro 100 racquets- they play very closely to each other so I can alternate all 3.
Brittany was absolutely right in her first reply in this thread. The Beast played very much like my Warrior Pro but has a nicer feel. Every shot I hit with it feels solid.
It has lots of power but not uncontrollable. Prince really did a great job with this racquet.
At the current sale price, players looking for a stick in this spec range will not find a better option(that includes the Pure Dive- they both play similarly but I find the Beast to have a much nicer feel ).
Bonus- Although this has no bearing on how it plays, the cosmetics are great in person.
I am so glad I got this racquet but sorry I waited so long
