Prince CTS Synergy DB 26 OS

Just picked one of these up for fun to compare to my customized Bandit OS and Hornet OS frames. It weighs 12.3 oz strung and is approx. 2 pts HL. Has a 26-21 CTS taper.

Does anybody know what the flex rating is on it? I'm sure its much less than the Bandit 67 and Hornet 70. Also, any input on playing characteristics would be much appreciated.

Thanks

My little brother still has his DB26 OS's at home, and the last time I hit with them they swung hefty and felt pretty flexy, probably between 60-65 - but they felt even softer.

Please remember to post your comparisons after you play test. I hit with an AirLaunch and Turbo Outlaw MP the other day and wasn't too impressed. I also tried the Shark MP - which is a great frame, btw. Not quite that plush, forgiving classic CTS feel, but super stable for its weight, and a nice eveness across the strings. I'm semi-seriously thinking about doing a Shark/Instinct/Laver S/Surge comparison because of it.

Interesting on the Shark MP. The Hornet MP is my main playing frame and I've been curious if the Shark will be a worthwhile upgrade. I finally saw one today and was surprised by the taper. It appeared to be a 22-26 taper tip to throat, which is the opposite of the CTS concept. Is this true? Its opposite of what TW shows on the specs.

I use my OS frames mostly for fun in doubles matches, so they don't get a lot of use. I'll post once I have some good data.

I noticed that, too.

Once I got over how it looked, ie. wide yoke and non-traditional beam design (at least for Prince, thin, thick, thin from tip to throat) - I really couldn't believe how nice hitting a frame it was. That prince-y feel tweaked with braided graphite in the throat and a plowing, heavy ball strike in a lightweight package without feeling harsh or stiff or kevlar-y.

Part of me wants to demo and see if a lighter frame would help my reaction volleys in doubles (as opposed to my current Volkl Tour 10 mid), part of me doesn't want to pay another several hundred for a new pair of frames 8)
