prince demo list???

good morn fellas. well, since I bought the prince textreme warrior 100 and hit with it 2-3 times I appears to be a powerful racquet and often either sail em or into the net. when my form is good and it catch the ball fairly low and don't try to muscle the shot too much I hit the ground strokes nice and deep with plenty of pace and spin. I bought the tt warrior 100 because it was fairly cheap and got good reviews and wanted something quick where I could hit the court with my son, also buying him a tt warrior 100t,who is a beginner but is falling in love with the game and wants to compete. anywho I want a prince racquet that I can maximize my big loopy forehand and will be able to catch the ball up high for put away forehands and pace and spin where with the tt warrior 100 I sail em catching em high and putting pace on the shot. I'm thinking to demoing the prince tt tour 100p and the phantom pro 100p. pretty much all the phantoms look to have very similar specs so I picked the stiffest out to compare with the textreme tour 100p. will these 2 racquets give me the control and power, but not too much power, that I am seeking on high forehands and my old college signature inside out forehand???
thanks,
Big Ed

You could try the Beast 98. I have the O3 version, and I'm surprised at how control oriented it is. I would actually like it better if it had more power. The beam thickness is quite different between the Beast 100 and Beast 98.

guess I figured since the beast line is replacing the warrior line they would be very similar racquets and not give me the control I'm looking for with big hacks at the ball.

Both the Phantom and the Tour 100P's have more controllable pwer than the Warrior does. You will probably find the Tour to have slightly more power and the Phantom to have slightly more spin. Another big factor is string choice.

I've just played with a newly acquired Textreme Warrior 100 that I strung at 54/53 with a 17g syn gut. At first was hitting long, but then added a little more topspin to my strokes and found perfect length. It is a ducks that responds very well to spin. Volleys were a delight to hit, both deep and touch, but couldn't find easy pace on first serves. However, my kick second serves really worked with this stick. Will probably string a little tighter next time.

I've been playing with the Phantom 100p for about two months now and really like it. It definitely rewards aggressive tennis, but demands good form and timing. Prior to this frame, I'd played with mostly more modern frames (lots of Babs), so to me it's a very nice blend of comfort and power. I would personally recommend a slightly more power oriented string because the frame is fairly low powered

It's nice that the Phantoms all do well with either gut or multis at mid tensions or really low tension poly. No need to put in poly at 57# like in a PD. What an arm killer that racket was.
