Hi, I have demoed the Prince O3 red which I liked. I have not tried the PK 7g but I do have the PK 5g and 15g light (which I currently use). I liked the 5g for the control but it lacks power for me. The 7g has got very good reviews and I wonder if anyone here has tried both the 7g and the O3 and how does it compare?

Thanks in advance.

I demoed them both, but can't recall too many details. I think the 7g had more feel and control than the O3 Red. The 7g was heavier and more headlight and had a smaller head, which gave less power but more control. The 7g had a tighter string pattern. I think the O3 is a little like the TT Bandit or one of the other excellent Prince tweener sticks. Easy to play with, but more toned down than the Bab APD+. It feels like a racquet with some technology in it. The demo was strung a little loose, which made it tough to judge. Strung up tighter it might have played better. The 7g feels more old school. The demo was strung tighter. I bought a 7g and play with it sometimes.

It's a nice compromise between my POG LB, TT Bandit, and LM Prestige. Serves and 2HBHs are easier than the LM Prestige (7g has an extra 1/2 inch), short forehands and volleys are better than the POG LB, more control than the Bandit, but it has a little of the Bandit's stiffness and plush comfort. Like the review says, it's all around good. It won't make up for a weakness in your game, but it doesn't have a weakness itself, so it won't uncover a weakenss in your game either.

If you like the 5g for control, you should like 7g for the added power, with same control.

O3 will still be more powerful, but 7g is heavier, friendlier to your arm. O3 is too light for me to use it against one of my heavy hitting opponent
