Prince O3 Tour weight?

Hi guys,
in the O3 Tour racquet from my coach there are two numbers for the weight.
290grams and 310 grams.
What is the 290 grams?
The real weight is 310gram or?

Ok, so the 310 are right...
But the racquet is very light...
maybe that can feel so light, because i played the Prestige before.

But there are 2 different O3 tours around the early ones had a swing weight of 290 and the later ones selling now have a swing weight of 300.

The early ones had midsize+ written on them and the ones now have midplus written on the top head of the rackets.

For me to get them to have a swing weight of 320. I had to add around 8g of lead to the head in different places because the swing weights and spec between the early ones and late ones was far out. I can post some pics to show how different the lead placement is to end up with the rackets matched up in weight balance and swing weight all done on a Babolat rdc machine if people want.

Ok here goes specs of all of them matched strung weight 338g, swing weight 320, balance 324(3points h/l). lead applied between 8 to 10g on each frame.

As can be seen this is an early one.

another early one the lead at the top is double layerd

Is there at least a third variation on the market? My box says swing weight 295 unstrung weight 310 grams with Midplus written at the top. I just bought this Tuesday at Hank Lloyd Tustin.

Damn raquet companies, always confusing everything up!

Oh yeah, forgot another spec, says my unstrung balance is 31.0 cm or 12.2 inch. So 295 swing weight, 310 gm unstrung weight, and 31.0 cm unstrung balance.

Man I suck horribly at photography, having trouble taking a clear picture of those tiny letters with my digital camera.

So any way, comparing mine to return_ace, same exact specs as return_aces except swing weight.

O3 Tour seemed indeed light to me today during a demo testing.

Very maneuverable, but I'd say less solid than RDX 500 MP and esp 10 V-Engine Mid in terms of hitting a heavy ball consistently and keeping the ball within bounds or on volleys.

Definitely nice on the arm though.

Wait, I thought it was the opposite. The racquet I got from prince rep said 295 as swing weight, but that was in like Feb. of last year, way before it was released. But now they all say 290. . . Am I imagining this? If that paint is flat and not shiny, that is an older one.

we're talking about the Tour version here, which is listed at TW as:

Strung Weight: 11.6oz / 329g
Balance: 7pts Head Light
Swingweight: 327
Stiffness: 61

it seemed to me lighter than that, but I never really weighted it.

yes, seems lighter to me too, maybe because of all those massive ports at 9, 12, 3 o'clock. Someone mentioned earlier about comparing it to the Yonex RDX500... I just demoed them both for 6 days and though they list a lower swingweight with the RDX, I found it to be much slower to swing, the RDX also feels head heavy to me but I know it's supposed to be about 8pts HL. Go figure. I guess this means don't trust specs, trust the feel you have when you hit with it.

for what it's worth, from the TW site on the RDX500 MID+ (16x19)

98 sq. in. / 632 sq. cm.
Length: 27 inches / 69 cm
Strung Weight: 11.7oz / 332g
Balance: 8pts Head Light
Swingweight: 315
Stiffness: 62
Beam Width: 18-21 mm

Wow! I need to demo a RDX, ASAP, becuase, to me, the O3 Tour swings lightning fast and, if the RDX is faster, I've been missing on something.

Well, I just checked and it is, indeed, head light. Don't know about the 8 points, because I didn't measure it, but definitively head light.

okay, just got back (on Thanksgiving!) from the local postoffice. Though they are closed, it's open to use the mailboxes and the self-serve digital scale (and you have to figure that's pretty accurate).

Both racquets weighed without lead tape, overgrip, just the same dampener on each-- a nickel sized red target symbol (which weighs btw .1 ounce)

With dampeners:

Prince 03 Tour 11.6 oz (this one said MADE IN CHINA, and had a swingwt of 290)
Yonex RDX500 Mid+ (16x19) 11.8

both 3/8th grip size

now go offline and enjoy that turkey y'all
