Prince Official - Racquets

I had the ATS 98 but sold it as preferred the ATS 100P for playability, however if you are looking for feel nothing beats the old TT95 (2015) and I have read that the ATS 95 is even better.
It's on its way to me already! A friend had sent it to me few months back, really loved it. At the time, I thought the Elevate did everything this TT95 did with some extra forgiveness, but I really missed the TT95 feel and want to revisit jt. I'm getting it back and keep it as a gift. I could keep the Yonex DR98 instead, but this TT95 played miles better!

From the ATS 2021 series I'd like to try the 290 gram 16x18.
Apart from the Pro Kennex Ki5, no other 100 sq inch racket has me interested. The Nova I have is too powerful and the Youtek Speed MP 16x19 is only 20mm and too low powered and can't hit the flat ball very well.

Bought two used ATS 95s....prior owner slapped on a leather grip. Per my Briffidi SW1 and BP1, they are 288SW unstrung and 14 pts HL with no overgrip!

Should work out,as ill need to bump up that swing weight another 12 pts or so. Haven't had a chance to hit with them yet

TT95 plays really well and solid with lower SW, I guess the same will apply for ATS 95. I would try them out in stock form before adding lead.

That's my plan. I played the 2015 TT95 for years.

I needed to lead up the new 100P Phantom, so I'm prepared to with this one if needed

Interesting. I have a dr98 and (thankfully) did not find my ATS 98 more powerful, though it has been a while since I hit with the dr. Did you check the swingweight on the DR98 you tried?
Can't measure swigweight, but it should have been more than 320 strung for sure. When I say "Powerful", I mean how easy depth is achieved. Of course with the DR98, when I hit it super clean I got depth, but I had to hit with very long and fast swing to get the same depth I could get with all other 98 I have tried with less tiring swings. One of my hitting partners, the leftie one who is much more advanced than me and hits with lots of top-spin also found it underpowered. I mean, it was obvious everytime we switched rackets, the heaviness and depth of the DR98 was much less than anything else we had brought with us.

The DR98 had larger sweetspot than the ATS98 and was whippier from the mid-court. But, I would take the ATS98 over the DR98 easily!

i remember the dr giving more depth than I wanted at times, but it has been years since i hit with it. not a top priority, but curious to string up my ats and dr with the same setup and take them out for a comparison.

The DR98 felt better on the 2-handed backhand, while the ATS98 much better for one handed backhand. Both hit the slice very nicely, but the ATS98 gives more penetration on the slice easier. On the forehand, as I've said again, they play very differently. I'd pick the ATS98 over the DR98.

Find the ats 98 - one of the greatest volleying rackets ever, barely twists in your hand, find it so easy to cushion and even drive through the volley

You weren't wrong. Quite impressive with the stability and play for its SW. Had a good 2 hour singles match today with it. Like this frame more than the Phantom 100P. The latter is flexier and not as whippy, and also lower powered.

I mean I did some 12-15 straight volleys with it aiming the coach in the middle of the baseline and all of them were completely successful. And that was a racket I had touched less than half an hour.

By the way, the coach wants me to get involved in the "group's" activities they have and they are using the same public courts I play at. More about that next week

I'm eagerly awaiting a new 97p and/or 93p.

Also, interested to see if Japan gets the green camo PJ (fingers crossed they don't).

any future updates on the Beast line of racquets? Also, is there much of a difference between the Warrior and Beast? The Beast has ATS tech and Warrior only has Textreme. Does the ATS make a big difference? Also, what was the last racquet John Isner used before his retirement?

We have the very latest Beasts here in Europe. Mostly the 100 sq inch 16x19, but I think there's also the 98 sq inch 16x20 (ΠΗ Τennis UK).
I feel that the gold/blue-coloured Warriors are somekind of an older stock of rackets being sold at around 110€. Specs are VERY similar to the Beast, no ATS. Too bad there are no reviews about these Warriors.

I'm pretty sure it's this one.

Wasn't it on this thread that someone posted some IG videos of young Japanese pros hitting w/ new, blacked out racquets?

The top racquet on his lap starting at 5:25 says "phantom" (the blue and green one). Why do we get ugly green camo here in the states?

Edit: blue, not black

The rackets he has with him have been already released for a couple years or more in Japan. For example, the Phantom with the green grommets.

On the next episode, we're gonna see the new Phantom and Graphite cosmetics. They left a teaser at the end of the clip. No green grommets on the new Phantoms over there.

Personally, I don't like the neon-green grommets on my Blade V5 16x19 either.

What interests me the most, is any update on upcoming Tours?

The ones he's holding look like the 2015 versions with larger letters. I don't think they are the new ones. He must have brought them to mention the beginning of Textreme tech.

Lot's of experimental frames hitting on social media, looks like 2 cross bar options and regular phantoms coming.... hope the paint is good, not worried about playability, as they always make great playing frames.
Spot on, looks like 100g and 107g cross bar frames and new phantoms. Videos and social media happening all over JP now

Is the static weight of the phantom 100G really hefty? One of mine with the base grip, overgrip and dampener is 340 g already. My second racquet with the same setup is 332 g so I had to put a nickel in the butt cap to get it up to 337g.

Anyone here play with the New 100X 305 and can compare to the original Phantom 100 Pro (non-P one)? The 2017 Phantom Pro was a real gem IMO that lost alot of the feel that made the original one good when they did the last Phantom 100X. I also remember the last 100X not taking weight well and just felt "off" on feel compared to that first pro.
This is the first time I’ve heard the 100X not taking weight well. It’s the perfect customization racquet imo.

I’m enjoying reading these posts at the moment. I hope Prince can rise again in the racquet world and produce some of the good stuff coming out of Japan

Anyone here string their phantoms (P or G) with all syn gut or multi only? I flirt with the idea but feel the spin suffers some. Been stringing Volkl main around 45 lbs and Prince premier control at 48lbs cross. Playing with a customized 100G.

Ah, that's too bad. It's also more expensive in JP than in TW US - 39,600 (~254 USD) in JP vs $200 USD in TW.
If the previous lines are any precedent, they will be available for closer to 30,000 yen from at least some retailers after they become available in stores.
