To give some context:
- 41 year old Left hander with UTR 4.25 for singles and 4.5 for doubles
- Playing winter competition on Saturday afternoons in Australia. Plays singles and doubles on a given day
- Used to play with a Yonex Ezone 98L and vcore 100 but sold them because they were too powerful
- Play singles well with the Astrel since I love the arm comfort and decent control. Strung with a hybrid setup of multi on mains and poly on crosses
- Demoed the Phantom 107G for a week and simply loved the control, controllable power and stability so sold the vcore and Ezone and ordered a 107G with a full bed of Prince Premier Control (arm comfort paramount since I have a history of tennis elbow)
- During the demo week played both singles and doubles with the 107G and won convincingly. The demo was strung with Luxilon Eco power (surprisingly for a poly felt very good comfort wise)
- Pondering whether to just keep the Astrel as a backup in case my 107G strings break and keep using the 107G for consistency

Stick with what has been working...gives you confidence. I think if you were to play both frames most people would recommend the 107 for dubs and the 100 for singles for more forgiving net play.

I would suggest trying a hybrid of poly and solid core syn gut - lasts longer and provides more spin.

Thank you for the string recommendation. Must give it a go for my next restring
