Prince Phantom 93P

too low powered for me most likely.

This is the reason I am so intrigued. It has been forever since I have been able to hit with the feeling that I won't just miss the court entirely. Think the main issue is what my girlfriend will do to me, I may never get to hit it if I actually purchase.

Try shipping hotels like myus.com or shipito they will provide you with a US address and forward to Europe

TW will ship for free to the US hosting address, the shipping company will then ship to Europe for a fee.
Thanks. How much is the fee?

Is it safe, common thing to do?

I used myus a lot a few years back, very good service. They provide you with images of the package and send you tracking numbers. They use carriers like UPS, DHL, FedEx etc. They have a price calculater on their website, depending on size and weight.

It will be more expensive than TW shipping directly.

Hope it will work for you.

I see that TW will still ship used Prince racquet to Europe, so that might be an option to wait for used racquets to turn up.

Perhaps also look at the TT for sale section.

Can anyone here compare feel, comfort and power to the following frames:

Pure Storm Limited (black and yellow)
Angell TC90 (current stick)
Angell TC95
Volkl Power bridge 10 mid

Three I have used and the fourth is a very interesting stick so would be a nice comparison.

Curious to hear your thoughts. Also have a TC95, TT95, Ultra Tour.
Just from a brief hit side by side against the wall and not match play I feel that tc95 is less muted more feedback (for better or worse depends how you look at it...) it really feel like easier to use pc600 with memories of ps85 sprinkled throughout lol...
Tt95 no comprison imho but I never really liked tt95...

Ultra feels softer but not as substantial...

It’s been a while since I played pb10mid and ps Ltd so take it with a grain of salt.

Felt pretty similar to ps Ltd in feel but with more plow (higher sw)

Pb mid felt thinner faster but also not as stable I felt that pb mid had two sweet spots upper and lower hoop and that confused me when playing that racquet. This one is smooth no hot spots

Why would 11.6oz Ultra feel as substantial as 12.2oz, 330SW 93P

If god felt like it was getting up there in age it would switch to this instead of his usual...

I have not been this giddy about the racquet since I bought original pro staff 85 like 15 yrs ago

I meant that from material feel point of view ultra feels slightly hollow in comparison...I tried ultra anywhere from stock to 360gr

Dang - that P93 must be crazy dense then. Never heard anyone describe Utra as hollow.

I think a tighter 18x20 on a smaller headsize may give a more one-piece feel.

So I got tired of waiting for Lux Ace 18 strings and switched the order to Cyclone 19 at same tension - hopefully will get the racket this weekend!

I agree with @BBM70 ... You're not making it easy to resist this racquet @dgoran ... :) Seeing the pictures was already hard enough... now came all the glowing reviews... How much can one take...?

I find myself repeating to myself... I must be strong, I must be strong... as I see my hand clicking the mouse to go to the TW sight and I find my hand hovering over the order button... I must be strong, I must be strong... Obviously, the chant is working... o_O:D

Wow. Easy to use pc600. Can't resist anymore;)
What is your string & tension setup? Thanks
I just went with cyclone 17 string special for $3 bucks can’t go wrong unless you don’t like poly. I almost always get new TW racquets string with cyclone because it gives me nice baseline to compare and when I eventually restring with my go to string typhoon it actually makes it feel even better Because imho typhoon is a better string...

You are not the only one. This low powered beast... and the paint job is fantastic.

$530 for 2 delivered to aus... $265 is not too bad of a price if you want to split an order haha. $290 for each order hmm... I did pay a bit more for my angells and Its not unreasonable considering new wilson and babolat are often in excess of $319 here...

Feel like 17 cyclone is too big for this one - it's shapped polly and can more easily lock up.

I use 17 for DR98, 18 for Utra Tour, 19 seems like the right fit for even tighter P93

I have the TC90 and the PB 10 Mid, and have played with both pretty extensively. PB 10 mid is much more flexible, and a bit easier on the arm. So far I like soft poly strung low (ISOspeed Baseline Spin at 42lb). But the TC90 is more powerful. I think both are amazing frames and plan to keep them in my bag and play them on a regular basis, especially since I just finally tried the same basic string setup in the TC90, but at 40lb, and it was incredible, and also super comfortable. I'd say I get about the same amount of spin - maybe a touch more from the PB10 mid. I think I like the feel of hitting the ball a bit more with the TC90 in this string setup - just a bit more "sweet", but still muted by the foam filling. I think I will have to get a 93P though, because it just sounds incredible - a nice addition to the family it will make.

Thanks for the response, I am in the same boat, the TC90 with poly strung at 40 is just a perfect fit. I just need to go to a lower powered string or restring more often. However, the lower power of this 93P could be perfect for control and more spin. Sounds like a godly frame for what I am looking for.

Capriati used to advertize that plays with synergy cts db 24 which i i kept from the old days and is a great frame but i think she actually played the lightning under the paint job, can you post a photo?
In her "early" years, you are probably correct. But later, she moved to the TC55A-93, which was the mold for the Retro Mid and Diablo Tour Mid. Sorry, I don't have an online photo basket...

Bought the Phantom Pro 93p this week and just played 5 sets with it last night. Holy smokes. Will post a more detailed review in a bit but it's replacing my Yonex EZONE DR 98 for sure. Anyone else hit with it yet now that it's out?

There's a whole separate thread and review from Power Player about it... From all accounts, it sounds like a fabulous racquet.

Looking forward to your more detailed review

Thoughts from my first few times hitting with my new Phantom Pro 93p:

First, some context. I'm a 4.5 lefty and I play a lot of doubles at my racquet club, with some occasional singles. My racquet of choice the last few years has been the Yonex EZONE DR 98. I liked the Yonex because it offered me easy access to power, it was the "normal" weight I've always stuck to (11.3 to 11.4 ounces), and it felt crisp at the net. However, the last few months I've been hitting a lot more with some hard-hitting 5.0 players rather than the usual 4.0-4.5 guys I've been accustomed to, and the weight of their strokes and the power of their serves were becoming hard for me to block back and stand up to with my groundstrokes. I was beginning to feel more and more "pushed around." So after doing some research I decided I wanted to finally try a "heavier/classic" racquet. I tried some other frames that weren't quite what I was looking for...until the Phantom Pro 93P came out.

All I can say is, this feels like "the one" for me. I played 5 sets the other night and it never felt like too much to swing, even with it's heft and swingweight. My biggest observations were as follows- 1) The mass on the serve helped me have not only more power but also a much higher percentage with my flat first serve, 2) Volleys were a dream. I've never felt that much control to punch it deep or finesse a drop shot before, 3) This sounds odd for a 93 square inch head, but it felt like it had a MASSIVE sweet spot and was incredibly plush feeling, so I'd say it felt more like a 100+ sq in head, 4) It had unusually good access to spin for such a small head with a dense string pattern, even when I was running down a low ball trying to whip it at an angle, and 5) My backhand slice felt like a weapon with it. It was super easy to knife it low and deep.

So there ya have it. I liked my Yonex... I love this one so far though. In short, it's the solid stability and the point-and-shoot nature of this frame that made me switch. And previously I'd always strung my racquets with Solinco Hyper-G 17g. For this Phantom 93p I went with Michelle and Troy's suggestion and did Hyper-G 18g at 47lbs. I like it. Feels just right to me for now.

Thanks to all of you for chiming in your thoughts on this racquet as it was super helpful to me in my research. Carry on!

Hello all!
I am a 15-year-old (Soon to be 16, in may) tennis player from NH. Right now I play with the Prestige XT MP, leaded up to a higher weight. I am considering switching to this frame.
I have a couple of concerns. I play mostly U18's L5's which are mostly vs the top 500 in the US for u18, but for the most part I play vs the seeds as I am 15 and the way they create the draw is wack.
So anyways I play big hitters and can generate my own power. I like playing with a serve and volley style a lot, but I still hit from the baseline a lot. I have never used a frame smaller then the Textream Tour 95 and the Wilson Burn 95, so I'm a bit concerned with the head size.
Should I be worried?
I'd love to know your thoughts on strings aswell.

93P plays a lot like Tour95 in terms of size, because while the loop is slightly shorter, it is actualy also a bit wider at 3&9

I agree with Anton- I used to play with a Wilson Six One 95s, and the Phantom Pro 93p is actually wider at 3&9. But more importantly, the 93p FEELS larger also with how plush it is and the big sweetspot etc.

Alright - as mentioned earlier, my second string setup was going to be gut/poly after full bed poly. Initial thoughts with this gut/poly setup are that it plays exquisite. I am getting nice zip, touch/feel is better than full poly, and off center hits are more comfortable comparatively as well. The sound of ball at contact has changed a bit and I am not sure I like it much. It is probably because I am used to full bed polys. Zero vibrations and stick is just as solid. Will write more in detail as I hit more. Setup is Luxilon Natural Gut mains at 48lbs and RS Lyon crosses at 45lbs.

**** 4 3/8 out of stock now as well... Gives time for my paypal funds to clear though.

So... do sizes run normal on these frames? I am using 4 3/8 (B) on my Angells and its going well.

Yep pretty standard. The Prince is more square in general.

Because of the squarish grip, I find the 4 3/8 Prince felt slightly larger than the same size Head, Babolat, Angell. I actually like the more square grip.

Weird that you find it larger than babolat :O Given that my hand is not necessarily that big I may stick to the 4 1/4! Inbetween 4 1/4 and 3/8 on angell. Thank you for your help :)
