Prince Phantom Pro and Phantom Pro100P

Both models are out on the TW Europe site along with the specs. The flex is not listed both is around RA 60. I am sure that TW will also have them up early 2018. I am expecting to get both models for testing soon. I will post a review as soon as I get the chance. The frames are really nice looking. The frames have what I consider to be the perfect weight and balance for the majority of players without having to customise. Specs and appearance look really super.

Specs are ok, i do like the thinner beam, I am just not a fan of the 16 x 18, not sure if you be buying really anything more overall in comparison to the textreme line up.
Email the TW staff if you want. They will tell if try are going to carry these new phantom prince puppies..
I personal just don't think the phantom line up is a big enough evolutionary step up...
Seems like more of a revenue / financial place holder, to me...
But maybe it will satisfy the shrinking niche prince market in the us.

I am sponsored so testing the frames is part of my duties. I enjoy sharing my results with players. I like flexible frames and have used them most of my career, both as a tournament player and as a coach. I have really been looking forward to the slight changes in balance and weight in the new frames. I knew that the frames were coming out but just didn't know that they would be so thin. Small changes can sometimes give fantastic results. Big changes can also result in flops. Technology is sometimes difficult to predict, just ask a formula one driver. I will be switching to one of these models. At present I am playing with the 100P but would like it to have a little bit more weight in the head. I was also wanting a little more flex which is exactly what these models give.

The 16x18 pattern is what I was use to so I am looking forward to playing with this pattern again. I like the 100P 18x20 as it is a more open pattern than that of many other 18x20 patterns.

I just went over to the TWE website to confirm. The Phantom 100P is 16x19 and not 18x20. TWE needs to fix their Specification drop down info it seems. The description has a different pattern and 'specifications' section has a different pattern listed.

Phantom Pro 100P:

The other two variants (Phantom 100 Pro & Phantom 100) are both 16x18.

Edit:
I just realised, did you mean Textreme Warrior 100P which is 18x20, by any chance?

Prince messed up with their racket names.
So much confusion.
I don’t think there is textreme warrior 100P...

Regarding on the string pattern, prince made slightly different patterns for textreme versions in my opinion. more dense pattern in the center especially 16x18 pattern. My textreme graphite is 16x18 but feels more like 16x19.

Phantom 100p is 16x18. Count the grommets.

No such thing as a Warrior 100p

Yes, apologies, I meant the Textreme 100P. Naming conventions threw me off.

Also, I was going off the description in TWE for Phantom 100P:

"In addition to its arm-friendly flex, this stick packs an open 16x19 string pattern. The upshot is easy spin combined with a higher launch angle for greater depth".

It's in the racquets description on their page.

Are you saying all Phantom variants are 16x18 then? I'm confused now. My Phantoms have 8 mains in throat and they are 16x18. If anything, I think Phantom Pro100 P having 6 mains tells me it will be different than a 16x18 Phantom 100 and 16x18 Phantom 100 Pro.

Yes. All are 16x18.

Pro 100p is box beam with 6 mains in throat.

Just different spacing I guess. Keen to see their flex ratings to see what prince I'd trying to achieve. I'd prefer one around the low 60 range but have a feeling pro 100 might be closer to mid 60. Pro 100p might be 60 to 62 if they were to maintain a classic feel.

If prince is trying to contend in the player's racquet category, they should really comsider an 18x20 in something smaller than a 100... and no ports.

I used to play with the TXT 100P, moved to the TXT warrior, but really always wanted a 100P 16x18!!! If it arrives in Brazil, it will be in my bag for sure!

I know it was mentioned elsewhere, but the Phantom Pro 100P has the exact head of the PCG 100. If it plays like that with the textreme feel and a little more pop, sweeettt jees-uhs... I will be down...
Um no, Phantom Pro 100P and Pro 100 has head shape of ported Phantom. More oval/narrow than PCG.

High level what is the difference between Phantom 100, Phantom Pro 100 and Phantom Pro 100P. They all seem to weigh same, beam width similar, all are flexible frames. Power will be similar on all 3? I am a bit confused given how close in specs they all are.

These are the serial names of the three rackets manufactured so far by Prince. When they sell out, the next one will be produced by demand and bear the serial name Phantom Pro 100T. In short, more than confusing. Seems that stupidity is contagious among major tennis brands. Only takes different shape.

The Phantom 100 uses ports, the Pros use regular grommets. Apart from flex, I don't see much difference between the Pros.

Oh dayum pro 100 turned out more flex than I thought. Most flexy of the 3 yet also the lightest....not sure how stable it will hold up now. Pro 100p was almost spot on with my guess of a 60 flex.

TW EU may not have a Babolat RDC. Their flex specs always seem to be exactly what TW US has, in fact most online retailers too. With manufacturing variances, that's impossible, so I guess they just copy whatever TW US publishes. Most retailers don't want to invest in an expensive Babolat RDC if they don't have to.

You can measure and customize everything except for the flex and the flex can't be easily changed anyway, without intentionally damaging the frame. I'm glad that I didn't get the Wilson Ultran Tour and Srixon because I love the low flex of the new Phantom Pros. An open patterned 100P is what we've all been waiting for!

Phantom Pro 100P looks very, very tempting. I still keep at least one POG OS in my bag for the comfort and feel, but I don't quite commit to it full time because of the weight. Pro 100P looks like it could fit nicely.

Did the Phantom Pro 100 and Phantom Pro 100P just become available for today today here? I don't see any user reviews and Prince releasing two different versions of it is a well guarded secret. There wasn't even a hint of two models of the Pro. Which one is the one that's been available in Japan for the past year and which is the truly new one?

I hit and sold a Phantom pro from Japan and it was not a box beam.
