I have been playing the 93P for the past 6 months, and love the frame so much that I ended up buying 3 of them. It will remain my go to racquet for the next foreseeable future, but it is also a fairly demanding stick. I felt like I needed something something a bit easier to play, for the days when the feet don't move too quick (sadly, more and more of those as I have just turned 49). So I got a PP100P, which I will try tomorrow, with one of my regular hitting partners, who is about the same level as I (a good 4.0). I thought I'd go with something really similar in feel to minimize disruption.
My usual string set-up is Hyper G 17 @ 48lbs in the 93P, and given the more open string pattern, opted for a Hyper G 16L, also @48lbs. Bringing it home, I am quite surprised at the difference in sound when hitting the string bed. The 100P'sound is much, much lower, and feels noticeably looser. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, seeing that the head is bigger and the pattern open, but it has me wondering is this is not going to be way too loose. I play with a lot of spin on serve, moderate spin / flat forehand, mostly sliced backhand and come to the net to finish points. I am quite powerful and hit a heavy ball, which is why I appreciate the control of the 93P and the dead feel of the Hyper G - helps me keep the ball in court. It will be interesting to see how the 100P plays, and if I will eventually need to string it tighter.
