Prince T22 Cushioning?

For anyone who's worn any of the Prince T22 shoes: T22, T22.5, T22 Lite...how is the cushioning of the shoes?

The T-W review of the T22 Lite said they offer "plush cushioning."

Just curious as to whether the other T22 shoes offer the same fantastic cushioning?

And for anyone who's worn the 22 and the 22.5...better shoe?

Thanks!

T22.5 absolute doodoo in my opinion. Super stiff and uncomfortable, tight in the toe box…boxed them up and back they went to TW. T22s have the best stock insole I’ve ever seen in a tennis shoe and are nicely cushioned. The T22 Lites have a more standard foam insole and are not as cushioned. If you’re replacing the insole like I do, I think they have similar amounts of cushioning.

I've never played in the T22, but when I tried them on, there are definitely more on the "energy return" side of things, not plush cushioning. the shoes rock you forward in each step. but i didn't find them uncomfortable, quite pleasant for how responsive they were actually. I thought they seemed great, especially for the price. I only didn't get them because they were just a tad narrow for my right foot (i have slightly wide feet), but they might have loosened up over time.

I wore the T-22s for a few years. I need a tank of a shoe, and these were definitely that. I wouldn't call them plush, but the cushioning was not bad or minimal. The T-22 Lites and T-22.5 were not near as good to me. The Lites weren't "tanky" enough and the .5s were just uncomfortable.

T22.5 was terribly narrow and stiff for me. I had to send it back. The T22 lite was the perfect blend of cushion and liter than the original T22 which was heavy.
Why don't they just stick to the original and the lites.

The T22 has a very nice cushiony, durable insole. The shoes themselves are heavy and clunky. When new, they hurt the side of my foot near the little toe. I keep wearing them because they have a slightly wider toe box and are quite stable. I don't have the courage to wear them every time I play.

I've gone through about a half dozen of the T22 in the last few years. I agree - the insole is excellent and I've used those insoles in other shoes. The shoe as a whole, though, is pretty disappointing. The shoe's structure breaks down on the outside from all of the stopping and pushing off, eventually getting to the point where it feels like I'm at risk of rolling my ankle. It's usually about that time when the outsole wears through in that same location. The structure just isn't stiff enough under my 200 pounds to maintain integrity.

I just received the T22 Grey/White/Grey version and they look spectacularly understated. Can't beat the performance for the price, and the cushioning and stability are both excellent.
