Prince T22 Lite Variation

G.O.A.T.
I think I have posted on this before, but it's very annoying. A while ago I bought a blue pair of Prince T22 Lites after trying them on and loving them. I decided to stock up with a second pair (red) - same model and size. I ordered the reds online because I figured they would fit.

The blues were great. Comfortable, supportive, roomy for my toes, no sliding inside the shoe, etc. Loved them. I wore them until I wore through the exterior and support was gone. I switched to the reds and they were bad. Much bigger. Felt like I was wearing clown shoes. I kept tripping over myself. Sliding around inside the shoe. I got an ingrown toenail. Twisted my ankle.

I tried double socks and heel lock but nothing worked. Now I've bought some K-Swiss shoes. I am very disappointed in Prince. How can two different versions of the same model be so wildly different? There must have been a factory change at some point. Very very sad! I would keep using the T22 Lite if I was confident in their consistency.

Anyone else with similar experiences, Prince or otherwise?

Yea I had a pair of the old blue ones with the writing all over them. Bought the black ones and they were longer, no doubt about it. I could not wear the size below so I stuck with them and now they work with a little thicker sock. Maybe the newer ones are just being made a little longer.

Seems like you had the same issue I did!

Yea but the size down was too short. After having them for a while they fit better. They don’t seem as long as they did when new. Thinking they have molded to my feet more. Still best cushion I have tried along with the Ultra Shot.

I remember there were factory changes with the original T22 also. They started off wide and roomy, then switched production to Cambodia and they were tight and narrow (which I loved because I had narrow feet). Then people complained, and I heard they are somewhere in between now. There were even variations within the narrow fitting version. The first one I had was great, no problems, but the second one had too much padding in the ankle collar and made my heels sore, probably by cutting off my circulation.

hate to admit it, but yeah, ive notised it as well
been wearing these for years
last couple of times ive notised how much tighter the blues are to the red p22.lites
i guess thats what we get for trusting on prince, a company thats been on chaptor 8 for soo many years
cant have QC if you keep selling the production to the lowes bitter, year after year
im already trying to look for replacement shoes

I got some used Prince T22 lites free (about 8 out of 10 condition) when I bought some Babolat Xcel from someone, $20... got them cleaned twice, alcohol soak, spray bleached, got superFeetGreen, laces, etc. I already have the black/green T22 lites but these grey/orange T22 lites felt really tight around the toe area. I can't wear them at all as they feel 1/2 size too small. So now they're 12.5's. Good thing there was no money lost.
Is there a replacement shoe available that gives you great stability and traction like the T22 lites that seem to be out of stocks for months? The regular T22's are just too heavy.
From all my years of playing, Adidas felt like boards and with poor lateral ankle support. Nikes feel good but again no support. I already have those custom ankles wraps but I don't need them with Prince's (knock on wood).
