So release date must be soon for the 98s? How are the o-ports going to be different then regular grommets for those of us who have never hit with o-port frames

    More dampened, erratic, bigger sweetspot.

Yes, as allways, trying it for yourself is the best way to find out how it feels. Personally, i’ve found that i like ports in the smaller heads (93/95). It sort of provides precision from the small head with the sweetspot and forgiveness that the ports provide.

It's hard to tell the difference of 2 sq inches if the head shapes are similar, but if memory serves, at least the one model (98) I tried in the past had a very oval, elongated racquet face, so the difference was unmistakable in comparison to the rounder 100.

I picked up a Beast 100 and hit singles yesterday and doubles today. I've never hit with the Warrior, so I can't compare the two. My current frame is the Volkl V-Sense 8 315.

Overall I will give it a "good so far". I really have nothing major to complain about. It's a nice feeling and easy to use frame. I'm finding a nice balance between power and control, and it plays firm but not uncomfortable. After trying the Textreme 95 and 100P, I was expecting a bit more plushness with the Beast despite its higher stiffness rating. I'm not complaining... just noting that it wasn't quite what I was expecting, but this could be attributed to the strings that I was using.

My favorite thing so far is that I'm getting some really nice kick and easy pace on my serve, and touch shots and droppers are surprising easy to hit. And for its light weight, it feels solid with decent plowthrough.

My biggest complaint is that I occasionally seem to find a hotspot on groundstrokes where the frame feels extra firm and the ball flies... but most of the time its a sweet feeling sweetspot where I feel just a bit of flex in the frame along with a great feel of the ball sinking into the string bed. It is a new frame and new strings, so I'm expecting things to settle in a bit after a few restringings.

How is maneuverability and comfort compared with V-sense 8 315?
V-sense is a very nice frame but little bit to firm for my taste.

Firmness is very similar between the Beast and the VS8, but the Beast seems to have just a bit more give to it. I would call them both "comfortably firm". The Beast is more maneuverable, but that's to be expected with the weight difference. A better comparison would be to the VS8-300, but I've never hit that one.

This is a nice stick! I got the demo and had 1/2 hr hitting and last 1/2 hr played a set that we didn’t quite finish but tried in game play nonetheless. I’m not sure what this grey poly is or tension but feels around 52lbs. It does feel light for me but stability decent for its weight. Good balance of control/power and you have complete control over your trajectory. Serves were pretty effective with some good power and no trouble on heavy kick serves or twists. Pretty comfy for RA as well so I am impressed with this light frame.

How does this compare to the stock K7?

I slapped a leather grip and added weight before i took my first hit with K7 ;) Certainly a difference in flex feel and pocketing between the two. My k7 is around 336g and precision is higher with giving away a fraction of power on flattish shots. Once you go heavy spin, K7 hits a heavier ball. I am also more dialed in on returns with k7. Serves are pretty close but precision a bit higher for me with k7. This is just an impression from an hour hitting with the beast.

Thanks for your feedback. It seems normal to get heavier ball with your custom K7 as it is 10g heavier than stock Beast, isn't it?

Yeah, and I am at around 330 SW. I have to assume stock and same string and relative tension, Beast with thicker beam and stiffness has more inherent power. K7 isn’t a slouch though but also has some terrific precision and feel.

I demoed the Beast 100 a week ago along with 3 other racquets and ended up really loving it. It offers solid power while still having a lot better control than the EXO3 red I used to have. It also feels surprisingly solid for how light it is. For example, I feel like I can volley or return with confidence and the racquet will do what I expect. With other racquets it might twist a bit on me when volleying or returning a particularly hard shot. Slice shots are great and a huge step up over my previous racquet. Serving with it is great as well. I had plenty of power with the EXO3 Red but the Beast seems to offer similar power while being more predictable.

Overall, I was a huge fan of the racquet and fell in love once I got used to it. The first 60 minutes or so I liked it for everything but ground strokes but once my strokes adjusted to the racquet I liked it there as well and fell in love with the racquet. While I started with just one, I'll probably pick up a 2nd as a backup eventually.

Wow, TW already has grommets in for the Beast 98 both in regular and O3 versions.

And ... I think I just saw a possible Twaron update of Textreme Tour 95.

I was browsing the big auction site for Prince Textreme Tour 95. There's a seller located in Wayne, NJ, who is selling a new one at a good price, but when I took a closer look at the photos, I saw the aramid fiber paint scheme on the shafts, the same kind you see on all the Beast models. In my opinion, this particular racquet is most likely a prototype, but I have a strong feeling that Prince will release the Beast version of the Txt Tour 95!

    Check it out!

That seller seem to have samples of the Prince frames.
On the 95 note in the throat TC303D-95 ; 7Txxx<B> as the engineering code.
He listed also listed a Phantom 100 Elite coded TX214A-100 ;7Txxx<B>

I think the one I have my eye on is the Beast O3 98. I want something with plow, so I like the swingweight and the 16x20 pattern. I also want something comfortable for my arm. Even though it has a 69 RA I think the O3 ports will more than make up for that. I'm actually thinking of getting it without a demo. I've tried other Prince O-port racquets and I'm pretty sure I'd like this one based on specs.

Yes, the seller must have connections to a Prince insider.
