I played again tonight. I'm falling in love with this racket. Unfortunately, size 2 is out of stock until Monday and I will return the test frame before my next tournament. Now I fear I play badly with my Ultra 100CV, which is silly because I did hell of a season with them.

There are all these hyped frames out there and I bought gravity tour and blade. Will test them as I enjoy trying new frames as long as they are close to my spec range but not going to be easy to deter me from tt100 310.. some magical frame this is.. prince made a vodoo here

Hey folks, just got myself a TT310 pretty cheap on a visit to Singapore. Played with it for the first time just now. Solid stick, pretty stable. But nothing really amazing stands out, like people have said before. But no downsides either, at least for the two sets I played. I’m a little out of shape, even tried to pick up my PT630 to play but it’s a torture to try and hit with that stick when you’re not on your top game. Points for the prince I guess..

Only thing I’m a little bummed out is that the paint job seems to be a little careless. Didn’t notice this in the shop. Do yours also have this ****ty finish?

This is on purpose, supposed to be the kevlar frame or something like that. It's utterly ugly...
Are we talking about the same thing? I mean that awkward blur in the middle, that looks like a careless junction of the two halves of the racquet

Jeez so sloppy. Well, at least I know it’s not a problem with my racquet and am no longer bummed out about it lol

It’s an aerodynamic groove, designed by NASA scientists, and made by integrating unobtanium into the layup. ;)

I received my TT310, 304g only (320g strung) with 320 sw.
I really like the racquet but I'm missing the plow and power I have on my TC95s (16x19 70ra v1 is 330sw and v2 335sw).
So I just added 3g at 12 and 7g in the handle to reach 330g & 330sw, I hope it will play bigger.

What are your mods?

I have two TT310, they came with 308 and 311g unstrung.
I have only leather grip on both racquets. For now, my best string for TT310 si Hyper G 1.20mm . TT310 is great in all aspects.

Sometimes when I'm not really in the mood i prefer Pure Aero, it is easier to play with.

These days I will try Grapplesnake Alpha and Hybrid Dust in both racquets.

Demoed this gem and hit last night. What a difference. I was expecting to like the weighted up phantom pro more but the TT 310 stole the show. Something about the feel and decent stability that just wins. Plus the controllable power on demand is fantastic. Might add just a bit to 10 and 2 and see but plays wonderful in stock.

yes... so true... what a gem.. i picked up blade 18x20 v7 and testing it out over the next month or so but this bad boy is the main stick still for me.
I hit with about 9gr in the handle for the longest time (in addition to overgrip)... i think i like it that way... the other day i took the weight out to make it less head light... i'll see how it hits that way...

I was also playing with the PP100.
The O3 Tour 100 290 is way better in every compartments of my game. Especially with Hyper-G. Wonderful setup.

Frame (308gr unstrung) + Overgrip Prince Resipro (about 6gr) + yonex dampener (4.5gr) + Strings (14gr) + Putty right under the buttcap (can't remember 8gr or 9gr) = Total of 340gr static weight. Balance was about 31.5cm... manual swingweight in house measurement was about 322-325.. Loved that setup. I took the weight off the handle to see how it would feel. Have not hit with it yet.

Availability for the TT290 on TWE is now 1st of October for grip 2. Seems like my order won't be honored... I will change it for grip 1.

In the market for a new racquet and it’s between the Prince TT 310 16x18 and v7 Blade (either 18x20 or 16x19). Love both Wilson and prince. Both seem great racquets.

Changing the pace here a bit, the last time I was out hitting with my 310, it just seemed overpowered. I'd like a bit more flex. The feel would help my backhand and serve, and a bit less stiff might mean less hits out.

Wilson Feather Thin grip reduces one size and 10 grams, so you could get a 290 in grip 3 and add lead, or a 310 in grip 3 and have it be a 300....

Size 1 plus heat sleeve to bring it up to size 2; this will add significant weight - can be as much as 20 grams going from size 3 to 4 in my experience - to the handle. I actually like the feel of this 'free' tail-weighting, but obviously not everyone does.

Adding a heat sleeve (20 grams) to the 290 would basically give you a 310 (which is available at TWE currently in a grip 2) with more rounded handle.

LOL at myself!! That would be much simpler, wouldn't it? But you never know, somebody might really want that head light balance? :)
On that subject, do you believe manufacturers really allow properly for grip size with regard to balance?
I've found when unpacking racquets the 4 1/8/Size 1s, or 4 1/4 Size 2s almost invariably feel more head heavy than the 4 1/2s.
I wouldn't be surprised if, on balance, the smaller grip sizes are barely within the head heavy end of the manufacturing tolerance range, and the 4 1/2s are much closer to the head light end of the range, due to manufacturers not really allowing too carefully for the relative lack of material/weight in a smaller grip.

That's why I chose the 290. I need more head speed and manoeuvrability for my spin game than extreme stability.
And no fatigue.

Joke apart, I already was thinking about grip 1. On summer heat, I have to add a surgrip, and it becomes a little too big. And I have wrist issues, so grip 1 was an idea.

However, TWE told me they modified the grip 1 they had to be able to send me my order, so I guess I don't have a choice anymore.

I'll tey the feather thin on summer.

Hey guys, so I played for another hour with my new TT310, for a total of about 3hrs now. It's strung with Yonex Poly Tour Spin @ 44lbs in the mains, and Prince Synth Gut @ 47lbs cross.

I'm not quite in love with the frame (at least not yet). It's a lot less powerful then what I would've thought. I don't know if it's the string setup or just me getting used to the racquet, but it's definitely less poweful than my Pro Tour 630 with full Cyclone 1.20mm @ 42lbs, and surprisingly I think it's underpowered vs my Ultra Tour (RPM Blast + Synth gut same tension as the TT310). I'm struggling a lot with my serves, lost a lot of power versus those two other sticks. Does this sound right?

I'm also surprised that it actually offers less free spin than I would've thought, especially since it's a lot more open than my two other sticks. My ball is launching and landing depth-wise similar to what my Ultra Tour offers me now, and spinning less and falling shorter than my PT 630.

In terms of feel, it's pretty comfortable, no complaints. Obviously nothing flexy like the PT630, and not buttery like my UT (which I sort of expected it to be). One other thing I'm noticing (especially compared to my UT since this is obvious when lining it up against the PT630), is lack of plowthrough. My UT is at 338g static weight and the Prince is at 330g. I might add 4g of lead total at 3 and 9 to the TT310 to see if this improves things. I also have a leather grip I could add, but not sure it's worth spending it here at this point lol.

My objective with this stick is to have something a little easier to play with when my arm gets tired from the PT630, and to have an alternative for more spin when playing on clay since the UT shoots so flat. So far spin is okay (not great, just okay), and it's not really easier to play with since I really have to whack the ball to get some depth.

Just sharing my thoughts and hopefully I can get some feedback with the setup.

Cheers

Maybe your tt100 has a lower sw than it should be? If it's plowtrough/power you are looking for and not added torsional stability, I would suggest to bump up the sw by putting 2 g at 12. Just my two cents, hope it works out for you!

Unfortunately SW is something very hard to measure.. I live in the largest city in Brazil and there's only one RDC machine here as far as I know, and it's an hour drive from where I am.. the stiffness rating on it is broken so I'm delaying getting all my sticks measured.

I strung up the racquet when I bought it and never weighted it, but since it's sitting at 330g strung and with OG, I would assume it came closer to about 306-307g..

I did not hit with the other sticks so couldn't give you any opinion about the relative comparison. What works for me is weight in the handle... about 9 grams. I did not remotely feel the need to put weight in any where in the head b/c this racquet is stable as tank... 15.3 is the twistweight. To me it's whippy enough, stable enough... it may lack the "plow" maybe but I also did not have any power issues... I would suggest having the same exact string setup for a better comparison to begin with.. Other than that, I guess swing weight is what you are looking for... maybe as @RGT said try some weight at 12? good luck.

for swingweight I do this at home... it gives you an idea... trickiest part is the timing the swings... just do 3 or 4 tries to see if it's consistent...

Yeah I tried this with my Ultra Tour and PT630... Ultra Tour came up to 335. TW says 319 for stock.. Mine has leather grip, OG and a quite hefty babolat dampener.. so I think it's fairly close enough.

But then the reading on my PT630 was 332, which is just absurd since it feels like Thor's hammer compared to the UT (although static weight is only 3g more) lol... So I kinda lost faith in the method..

Will try with the Prince when I get home I guess, just for fun's sake.

Multiple different string config makes diagnosis difficult. Try sticking to the same string set up as your PT630 and see.

You just have to get used to it and probably abjust your technique, pt630 is for sure less powerfull but with better plow and mass and that maybe confuse you in terms of power, totally different frames, play at least one month to get used to
Just sharing my thoughts and hopefully I can get some feedback with the setup.

You need some abjustment period for sure, pt630 is less powerfull frame but with better plow and mass, play for a month to get used to it

Just did the manual SW method, and came up to 332. That's why I don't trust that method (or my execution of it maybe lol)... UT was 335 and PT630 was 332, which sounds plain wrong when you line the three sticks up.

Does RacquetTune measure SW? I thought it only showed you the effect of adding weight to the racquet on swingweight, given the informed SW by the manufacturer. This doesn't solve the "problem" of whether or not my racquet came with a SW a little lower than it should..

The app you are looking for is SwingTool, which is made by the same developer for RacquetTune. SwingTool does swing weight measurement using your smartphone’s video camera.
